  1. Well, let us know how it all goes after they're installed. Certainly a very low price considering shipping was included. Dennis
  2. More importantly, what do YOU think? Let us know how easy to install, comfort level, support, adjustability, and build quality. They look interesting and the price is certainly less than the Recaros I bought on Ebay. Dennis
  3. Nissan got a lot of use from the picture of the red Z. I think this non-factory banner is based on a dealership brochure/hand out. To those with a better Hoover, please correct me if I'm in error. Dennis
  4. The cool thing about any exotic car with a manual transmission is that you eliminate a lot of younger car thieves who only know how to shift an automatic. All is good unless they bring a trailer. Dennis
  5. And, with the Z, you don't need a factory trained mechanic on retainer for most maintenance and repairs. Dennis
  6. It will be interesting to see if there's much of a drop off in car ads as a result. Dennis
  7. Me too - for over 50 years. I guess I'm lucky to still be alive. Dennis
  8. Missed the diesel torque question. Dennis
  9. Aftermarket wheels. May have had fake wire wheel spoke inserts originally. Dennis
  10. Trust me, Nature isn't the only one. ? Dennis
  11. I'm hoping to be Mr. Roomba. Just charge me up and let me go! Dennis
  12. Very slick car. I was driving downtown yesterday and saw the Spider version with the retractable top just after the driver had parked and was raising the top. It looked good both ways. Dennis
  13. Found several and ALL the sales fell through? What's the problem? Dennis
  14. AAA Card. That's a serious drive in an unproven old car. Have it checked by a mechanic when you get back to Sacto. Good luck! Dennis
  15. The "leather" boot attached to the shift lever attaches to the opening in the center console with clips. Lacking those clips, you can use small paper clips like these: https://tinyurl.com/yxcl27rc They're hidden, so it won't matter to anyone but you. When you upgrade to a 5 speed, the later style inner rubber shifter boot is bolted to the floor with a metal frame. Dennis
  16. That would have been nice to have. Dennis
  17. Cooled by a 4,000 rpm brushless fan or an external heatsink according to the write up. Must get quite hot. Dennis
  18. Not to play "Can You Top This", but 1972, Topeka Kansas, gas wars, 23¢ a gallon. When the gas stations weren't trying to put each other out of business by selling at rock bottom prices, the price would go back up to about 32¢ per gallon. Dennis
  19. $35 for 10 minutes...cheaper than a trip to the casino and more fun. Dennis
  20. Have you checked all wiring, again? the manufacturer's write up says you can connect to a computer for set up. Did you try that? http://www.123ignition.nl/product.phtml?id=220 Dennis
  21. Fun video, but after listening to the song, I'm kinda glad he wasn't driving a 6-speed. ? A version with subtitles would be interesting. Dennis

No apology needed. And you're correct. No harbor Freight in Palm Springs. I have to leave town to shop at one. I can relate to going stir crazy on a rainy day. The rain here last Thursday wiped out the only three roads leading out of town to the interstate. Nine inches of rain locally. Stay dry! Dennis

Harbor Freight has a 90 rivet set that contains 50 5mm rivets for a reasonable price. https://www.harborfreight.com/90-piece-pom-rivet-assortment-67611.html Dennis

I used cotter pins as replacements for the pins. The looped head of the pin sticks out of the rivet and makes it easy to pull out when it's time to pull a panel again. Dennis
  25. I've always said, "Long cold winters are the Mother of invention.". Having spent my first 22 years in Northern Wisconsin, I know from experience. Dennis
