  1. Yes, the black plastic box on the side of the afm and the other smaller on. The TPS. I would also cover the distributor somehow.
  2. Hi, I also like the front end of the orange . Not only the front end , it is also lowered 20mm , served with bigger wheels and over fenders . This orange car won “ best concept car “ award of the show . This prize surely pushes Nissan to make this body kit for customers in next year . Kats
  3. Glad you are back to work Cliff. I had it last April. I had a 103 fever for a few days and I was light-headed whenever I stood up. Other than that, it was a few days of a bad cold and then I felt fine. I had to take two weeks off work even though I felt fine a week ahead of that.
  4. Here's my biggest time saver for my '77. He's done it all already. Click on "electrical" and also "efi and fuel". Good stuff to read through and even better camera work. Thanks @240260280 https://www.atlanticz.ca/zclub/techtips/
  5. The way I understand these to work is rather funky for such a well designed car. The large panel vents into the car from the chamber in the hatch just openly. The smaller slit in the two vent pieces are also open to that chamber. crafting the vent to the outside of the car through the chrome vents on the large slit. The tubes are just for draining water out. Which drains right onto the hatch sill, promoting rust. There was no direct connection from the big panel to the smaller pair of vents. These also let in a lot of fumes that billow around the back of the car. At least that is what I determined from refreshing my S1 hatch vents. No wonder they went to the B pillar vents.
  6. Maybe the ghost of Mr K. will change all the bumpers over on the docks once they arrive in North America to save the new Z and make it a guaranteed sales success? On a serious note, I actually liked the front end on the proto version (in yellow) but after seeing this orange car I think Nissan should make the orange car the standard look of the new Z.
  7. Found this while searching the subject Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Today with my son's help I finished assembling/installing the rolling support frame for my shell. The Unistrut channel comes in 10 foot lengths so I decided to leave the long members full length. Here is the result, no major issues were encountered.
  9. Those are good posts. I was going to say "every electrical connection". Be prepared to replace the injector connectors if you haven't already. There are much better out there, available at any wrecking yard from Chevys, Volvos, BMW,s etc.
  10. Are you trying to start the car without the seat belt buckled? For the automatic, there is a relay in the circuit. It's located near the voltage regulator.
  11. Old thread that talks about the Arizona pan below. Your's looks like a knock-off of the Kameari pan to me. You might search that?
  12. The genuine Sanden compressor is smaller, lighter, and far more efficient. Robs less hp to drive it when engaged. Watch out for the Sanden knockoffs. (China) Ordered mine from Vintage Air. Easier mounting than what I did is to purchase the mount kit, which is a steel plate and 2 slotted mounting ears. Those get welded to the plate to line up with the compressor, then bolt it on to the stock location. Downside is adjustment is like the alternator as opposed to the idler pulley adjustment I preferred. Don't forget to replace the air drier before you recharge the system.
  13. No idea. I think the best bet would be to just mock it up and make some measurements
  14. z8987, if you're going to buy a pair of blue plates for your car, here's one: It's hard to find someone in the US to make steel plates (vs aluminum) anymore. I had a guy in Germany make me a set of steel ones a couple years ago. DMV is use to seeing restored old plates now a days. You'll have to call the DMV to make sure it's "clear" to use, since it is a legit plate that was probably used back in the day, and you can't order personalized plates of a valid pattern used in the past. Just throwing a risky idea out there! 😉
  15. I was looking for a garage project this weekend, so I decided to go ahead and install some Hella H4 housings with LED bulbs in the 240Z to replace the old Victoria British/Black Dragon Auto generic H4 housings with halogen bulbs. I have the generic H4 housings with LED bulbs in the 260Z, but I wanted to see if I got a better beam pattern with the Hella housings. I think the Hellas look better/more appropriate for the Z, too. I even shot some video in case someone needed some more information on how to change headlight bulbs on an S30, not that it's a big challenge. Anyway, the video should be available now.
