    I’m working on getting a 73 that has been stored for 30 years. This all started a year ago when I found my 70 s1. The one that has been stored for 30 should stay original. I want to trick out one of them. Looking original but all modern stuff. I don’t want to trick out something that can easily be restored to original. I want to rent up with 2.   6. Also if using a computer just right click on the link on the left and select 'open in new tab' then you can copy the URL from that new tab which will be a link to the specific page. Thank you Carl for creating and continuing to maintain this site for SOOOOO many years, I know I have used it since around 2003 or so. There's a TON of great content on it. I will agree about the technology being dated, use of frames on websites was a big thing for a while. For a site that is free, no donations requested, and completely run by one person it still does the trick. I can see why work has not been put into the technology as that is time consuming and a never ending story as technology is constantly changing. As long as frames continue to be supported by modern browsers I think it's fine the way it is. There are other Z sites built on old technology though still contain a wealth of valuable information...Z Therapy (https://www.ztherapy.com/), Datsun 3.1 Stroker (https://www.oocities.org/inlinestroker/), and Bryan Little's Z Garage if you can still find it...just to name a few I can think of off the top of my head. Oh wait! I just found Bryan's newest iteration (at least the 3rd URL I've found for it, the oldest being geocities) of his site and it is much more modern than the old one (https://datsunzgarage.us/).
  7. Thanks to Covid-related home-office and the fact i save an hour of driving from and to my office everyday, it seems like i have too much free time to search for Datsun related stuff... Therefore i've collected a lot of cool documents lately. The first delivery consists of a lot of Colour sample charts, many marked as "For europe" unfortunately not Z-related, but the came for free with the rest and they're cool nontheless... Then i've got the L6 service Manual in German, which might come in handy for me, since it's my native language... That "Technical Training" Paper folder contains an empty Sample of a warranty report (from one dealership workshop to the Datsun switzerland headquarter) and a manual how to fill it correctly, as well as a few examples (most probably from a training at the swiss Distribution center): Also got this 1972 swiss service warranty booklet. I really like the style of it. Every service you rip out the page and cross all the jobs done, but on the small leftovers theres a stamp and a signature of the workshop who did it. One of the big green folders was empty, but three of them consist various technical bulletins for various cars in german / french, issued by Datsun Suisse SA / FMG. Written with a typewriter and nicely duplicated. Two are from the early seventies and include information for the 240Z. One is from the 80ies.. The fifth folder is a Warranty Flatrate time folder, which lists various warranty flatrate times and Warranty codes for the different cars including the 240Z and C10. It is required to fill the above mentioned warranty report. I usually don't collect stuff from other countries, but these American "Datsun News" Magazines from 1971 to 1974 were for sale for a nice lot-price, so i had to secure them. The december 1971 christmas special issue has a nice comic of with the 240Z: And a letter from "Mr. K" One issue shows a few pages of a japanese factory tour made with american dealers in 1973: Another one nicely shows how Datsun USA was organized back then. including the 10 (!) Car carrier ships that nissan used to operate back then: Then i got another few documents. which included a few catalogs (they came with the pricelists i've posted earlier on my blog already) But what is nice here is the 2002 Nissan Motorsports competition parts catalog (USA): The German book About the history of Nissan. (check the picture at the bottem left, how they used to load cars on the boat with ropes, before they had their own vessels...!) And probably the rarest document (also not Z-related): An 1969 Datsun Switzerland press release folder, issued for the Geneva International Motor Show 1969, including price lists, car descriptions and instructions how to get a Press car for testing... I have a few projects in the pipeline and I'm awaiting results soon, also awaiting a delivery with Parts and more Documents fom Japan, but thanks to Covid, everything is a bit delayed now. Looking forward to big news over the next weeks / months...
  8. I have a kid brother 10 years younger than me. When he was grown enough to start moving around and explore his new environment he began a weird habit of shoving stuff up his nose. He continued this disgusting habit until he was nearly 4. We quickly learned to grab a washcloth, hold it over his nose and blow gently into his mouth. Popped whatever it was he had crammed up there right out. He always giggled.
  9. I don't know where you copied that URL from - - When I visit the Page - the URL Shows up as http://zhome.com/History/BlackP.htm on my Browser. (no "www2" and no "com.81") The sight uses Frames - Index on the Left and Subject Matter displayed in the Right. If you want the URL to the specific Subject matter - just open the link in the Index in a new Browser Window and copy the URL from there. As I recall all the links were converted to internal links, to solve the problems we had with http vs https addresses.
  10. Cleaned up the old turn signal lenses with some wet sanding and polishing. 30 minutes well spent!

  12. Looking good Bob. I think I saw your car at Todd’s show several years back....or maybe another show. Twin turbo RB’s are somewhat an overkill for a Z LOL. I rode in one of my friend’s once and almost screamed like a girl! My son is building this one, but it’s gonna be NA.
  13. They start teaching coding in the third grade now, I think. I was having crayon fights in the third grade. I learned some Pascal and some Basic along the way to now, but none of the graphical interface stuff. More like the computer in War Games. Soon people will be writing the code for their own electronic brain replacements.
  14. zhome problems again. @Carl Beck http://www2.zhome.com:81/History/BlackP.htm No offense Mr. Beck, but you really need to get somebody to bring your site up to today's norms. The format might have worked back then, but it's clunky and weird now. A person can't copy a link, since the links are all internal to zhome.com, so you have to dig through the oddly formatted sets of menus to try to find anything. It's probably pretty easy to do, for one of today's wiz coders. Thanks for putting it together but right now, it's like a stack of old magazines over in the corner.   15. This is what the installation looks like with hoses and fittings on the compressor. There is no interference with anything and adjustment is fairly simple.
