  4. When I was a kid my Dad bought his wife a set of cookbooks for Christmas. We still laugh about that and it was 40 years ago.
  5. To all my CZCars friends. Have a great Christmas. Enjoy family while you can and be safe.
  6. Merry Christmas guys! Have a great week!! Mike
  7. Post a picture. Stand it on end so that people can imagine it taking up not much space in their garage. Put two starter bolts in so you don't damage the input shaft. Put a bow on it.
  8. Ok, I need some HELP now. I have most of the car roughed out, but I need to finish the rear valance. The car was rear ended at some point and the bumper damaged the rear valance. I worked on it a number of years ago but I don't like the finished results. So I tried to start on the rear yesterday. I made a template of the rear curve of the hatch When I compared it to the rear valance there is quite the difference. So then I figured I needed to have the correct bumper. I was able to finally order some out of Vietnam but I located a straight center section today, in the mean time. Here is the way it currently sits It is a little hard to tell but it's really wavy and uneven. I cut out the center of the valance and pulled the center section. Then I welded it back in. You can see one of the joints on the right This is how the current bar fits Much closer on the ends than in the middle by about 3/8". I assume this gap is supposed to be consistent. Can someone confirm that for me? Also approximately what is this gap supposed to be? At this point I am contemplating drilling out all the spot welds and removing the rear valance entirely so I can try to get it straight and right. I really need to be painted by February if I am going to have a shot at being ready for Zcon 2019. I hate to add the extra work but right now I don't see a good way around it
  9. A little work done just before Christmas. Headlight scoops repaired and painted along with front airdam.
  10. Try buying your wife a vacuum cleaner these days for Christmas.......bet it goes over like a fart in church.
  11. Bought a NOS head from this site, thanks so much Garrett (inline6), its a P90 so will require a bit of work to get high compression but great place to start. Managed to buy NOS lifters and related parts from Nissan Japan and some Valves and retainers from Kamaeri. And i turns out the Hakosuka sump fits the Kenmeri, so got one of those with a kit that ties into the gearbox. But looking at the existing crank and rods and doing some maths, looks like will they will have to replaced. Can't bore the new block too much so going to limited a bit in capacity 87mm = 2960, but it should be able to rev. So the head is off to Horsepower heads (Kevin Bann ex Kelford Cams) who is starting on the port work. This build is going to take a bt longer than planned but the end result is going to be better than expected, so will be updating shortly.
  12. What tires are you thinking about? Some big fatties?
  13. Just checked. The needle is shiny like that the entire length down, all the way around, so it's probably not contact....I think. My guess is that the upper part is oxidized while the lower part is shiny since it is sitting in gas. Will post pics of entire needle tomorrow Sent from my C6902 using Classic Zcar Club mobile

My pleasure. I can tell you where to find those connections, but I still can't tell you why they're there. Haha! If I had to guess, I would dovetail off something that Chas mentioned... I suspect those connections are some sort of precursor to the valve cover mounted injector cooling fan assy.
  15. It's the internet. I take it all with a grain of salt unless I know the poster. It can be hard to sort out reality, especially on HybridZ, because the threads can pinball all over the place
  16. I forgot to throw the little brass shim under the seal so I showed him how the ol puller works! I was to excited to assemble parts haha Sent from my SM-N950W using Tapatalk
  17. You look a lot younger than I would have thought! ?
  18. Hybrid Z site was run by a bunch of wacko's for a long time. I'm not sure if they still run it. I don't like the site nor trust most data there.
  19. Cody and I are also working on some support for the Xenon air dam I want to avoid this So I am missing the valance support on the front of the car. There were a few parts left, but it was pretty much gone. So we cleaned it back to the radiator support and started templating Cereal boxes make for great pattern material Cody hates body work but he likes to weld, so I got him to help me fab t It needs a little more dolly work and I plan on adding flanges down the lower edges similar to the original. It would have been nice to have made it all out of one piece but I don't have the tools or the skills to do that. I think if I had a shrinker/stretcher setup I might could have done it. A metal brake would have been nice to have too. I am working on another bracket that will be mounted to the back of the air dam that will act as a mate and have through bolts so the air dam can be removed. I have some 1/4" and 3/16's rod that is bent to match the air dam shape that will also be added to give some support and shape
