  1. 2+2? Never! Abomination!.... but I LOVE this car! Can’t reconcile my feelings.
  2. 2 points
NO, that is a integral part of being able to afford to properly restore the car. I can tell you that it would have been more lucrative if I have parted out the car, but I believe that we have to save these cars!
  3. Yes, It's an issue I had with the manual. The assembly section only warns you to mount the hub in the correct direction, but doesn't say anything about the inserts. They managed the neglect that all the way through to 1983. It looks like they corrected it in the 300ZX 1984 transmission.
  4. Sad? I think that's kinda funny, but then I don't cheat.
  5. It gets worse... There isn't even any email support contact. The ONLY support is on their user forum. And wait... It gets worse yet! ..................... You ready for it??? You have to be logged in to post on their forum. The problem I was having was that I can't log in because my account is locked. Catch 22!!
  6. Second series tags are printed and ready to be stamped. I'm only doing this for my own car and will only be done once. If anyone else is interested please reply here or pm me for your mm/yr and lot #. If you are into concours quality stuff this is it. I don't think you can buy this anywhere else. EhlersRS and Zup, I will pm you, please let know. Thanks for looking.
  7. Imho electric fans are overkill unless your car runs hot. They're a pretty big pull on the electrical so you'd need to upgrade all that first. Luckily mine is in a good temp range with the larger 280 rad and a full shroud. There's some guys on here that live in a lot hotter climate than I do and others that get stuck in bumper to bumper traffic for extended amount of time. So the big aluminums are good with fans for some driving conditions, just not mine.
  8. CZCC FOREVER !!!!!! Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile
  9. Thanks Site, thanks Jeff. Here's to the future.
  10. Okay just placed the order to Silver Mine stub axels and PayPal the guy for the 04 STI diff Now I need to find time to drop the header and exhaust. Install the new header then this new diff with lower gears. Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile
  11. Earlier this year, I felt a disturbance in the force when Zup signed up for facebook to access the local Z car club chatter. If you know him, you know this is huge ....
  12. That's one of the best I've read in the time I've been on here. Thank you so much! People like you (and me) who appreciate the help from more experienced members is what got me hooked on this forum. I'd never rebuilt a car motor before and have terrible anxiety but getting help and forming friendships here I feel like I can do anything to a straight six L motor. You'll have a great experience with your car knowing your out of your comfort zone but have thousands of people just waiting to chime in and help. Helping is a way of paying back what we have learned here. I know I'll do whatever I can. Oh yeah, welcome to our forum!
  13. Hey Guys, this is definitely not the first topic I thought I'd be commenting on here. But, for what it's worth, a very big reason behind my Datsun ownership was that I wanted to push myself to do things that are out of my comfort zone (like, you know...talk to people.) That being said and given my age bracket, Facebook should have been a natural fit, but it's not. Other than having a couple knowledgeable friends over to the house, this site can't be beat. Happy Holidays, very thankful you all are out there.
  14. The envelope was even nicer! At first I thought it was one of those computer generated letters to get you to open them. It was really nice.
  15. I've used Greyhound Package Express to ship large items like hatch glass. It was about $65.00, Portland to Denver.
  16. Ohhh!! Those are great pictures, Alan!
