  3. I have kept this wheel for a while, had it on two of my turbo zx's. In very good condition overall condition. Horn hub ring on adapter has some wear. Grant signature 13" diameter leather steering wheel, includes adapter kit for 70 -83 Z & ZX, horn button. I think it is leather, have had it so long I can't remember, but the cost of the wheel without the kit was originally over &100 Adapter included is the less expensive standard one, not the billet adapter. $65 shipped in CONUS

  10. These gland nuts can be a pain for sure. I bought a 2" wrench for 8 dollars when it was on sale at Princess Auto (Canadian Harbour Freight)... regularly 32 dollars. I like using the wrench because both the socket and the wrench have a bit too much play and can sometimes damage the finish or edges on the nuts. but with the wrench I found that sliding a 1/16 steel shim between the open end and the gland nut made it as snug as it should be- something that is a little more frustrating to do with a socket. IMHO, cheaper, less time consuming, and overall the same result as modifying a socket. I have spare sockets now, so my next version will be a socket "tube" that is long enough to go passed the threaded strut with a square drive welded onto the other end so I can use a 1/2" impact gun, but the wrench has been good on the last 4 or 5 sets I've done. No heat required.

  14. Oh my gosh... another wonderful gift. You, my friends, are treating me like a queen. I can honestly say that I have never experienced a more caring bunch of people and I have never been treated this way. You have given me far more than just a monetary gift. I want to share, my life has been run down by circumstances beyond my control, and a very long time has passed since I have felt good. But that is parting, and I am seeing the beauty in life again, I'm much better. I will never forget each of you and the kindness you have shown to myself and my sweet RedBird. I thank each of you sincerely, for your presence in my life, and your gifts. God bless you, Jai
  15. well one test drive and again I see the same oil accumulation around the passenger side of the oil pan, right at the gasket, same as before. Oh well I did not really think it was the problem, I suspect the real issue is the rear main. Will end up torching off the exhaust down tube nuts OR paying OR maybe can I get away with unbolting at the catalytic converter to get the trans out (remove the exhaust for there on back to gain access to driveshaft and clearance for trans drop.

  18. Dear readers, sorry for the lack of updates during the last weeks. I was very busy with some other big things, one of them beeing marrying my wife Yesterday i got back to work in the garage. while it's still freezing cold outside i got some stuff done on the transmission. I found a local glass-bead blasting company and i'm preparing the transmission to be blasted soon. So i had to remove all bits and pieces: Shifter lever Bracket removed: Removed the shifter bushings from the brackets and had all laid-out: Removed the control arm springs and "plugs" Tried to remove this plug, but after trying hard and not beoing able to get it out, decided to leave it there for blasting Removed the oil filler plug And the speedo sensor (still in place here): Still need to figure out how to remove the speedo sensor complete, the plastic vents and then i'm ready to get it blasted
