  1. Stupid carrots. That's what you get for eating vegetables.
  2. Is that Andy Devine? As Jingles..."come on Wild Bill, wait for me." I realize that anyone on this site under the age of about 68 will not have the slightest idea of what I am referring to. If you damage a body part you will whack it again multiple times so you get the message...about sitting on the couch with a cold IPA in hand. Cheers, Old and In the way, Mike

Look at what came in the mail:
  5. Anyone driving into to Ontario, there is a new law that came into effect this year, if you see any emergency vehicle on the side of the road (Cop, Ambulance, Tow truck...) you are now required by law to move over so there is an empty lane between you and them as you pass. That is on a major multi lane highway, if on a 2 lane road (one going each way) then slow down a hug the center line, give them as much room as you can. There has been a lot of fatalities of emergency workers in the last few years with drivers running into them while they are working. They have started ticketing this offence and I heard from our local Z club that there will be a blitz on for the next week or so where they will be actively looking for people not moving over. I don't know what the fine is but I'm sure it is a big one. Chris
  6. Won't be the only name we call you, but ok. Winnipeg is actually worse then Regina. I'd heard the rumors but, geez, looks like it all needs a good power wash. My apologies to all the "fiendly Manitoban's" ... . (You have to see their license plates to get that one...)
  7. ...make some stir-fry.
  8. There is a glove I have that is made of some woven material maybe kevlar that is supposed to protect me when I am slicing food.
  9. Sometimes, injuries like that are just God's way of saying, "Slow down, pull over. Sit on the couch, watch TV, and drink a beer.". Consider it Devine intervention. Speedy recovery! Dennis

That's what I was trying to say, I'm no good at explaining without pictures. I think they may have gotten the wrong component kit for that cam. Too stiff springs and too high of cups for the lash pads. I'm basing that on my ordering from Schneider. MSA sales the whole kit. When I bought straight from Schneider I had to choose the components myself for the profile I had them cut.

I used a deep socket to press mine down. They have to fit down on a ridge in the pinion gear housing. Something you may have to do to get all the old one out is to use a needle type pick and scrape inside that ridge. I had to find my cheapo magnifying glass to see down in there.
  12. Kats, Looks like you are getting everything back to normal, I have to do that with both the 240Z and the Fairlady. Some of the hoses are probably not available here. Usually my local Nissan Dealer is good at finding parts, Fred

Umm... Why? What happens if you don't? (I just want to hear you say it..... )

I replaced that dime sized oil seal in mine about a month ago. Not one drop so far. A few dollars from Nissan.

I'm betting your answer will be in here: https://www.google.com/search?q=speedometer+cable+seal+site%3Aclassiczcars.com&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8 From last month:
  16. For example? Given the shortest possible time gap between any 1970 production-dated car and any 1972 production-dated car is just over 12 calendar months, what kind of scenario would you think made that possible? Somebody found a forgotten crate of parts behind the canteen door? My experience would be that there usually is some rhyme and reason to explain such perceived phenomena, and it is often the case that we - as civilians - are misunderstanding and misinterpreting what we see. I class it with the "left-over 240Z parts used on 260Zs" type comments...
  17. I think back in the day a production car of 1970 could have used some 69 parts, even a 72 could have used 70 parts laying around in the factory. I see that evidence on many 240z's.. The small features on the cars change slowly over the years they where build, but some later models still used some early parts.
  18. Greetings Kats! You always find the best parts
