L28+(maxima)47 build
That would be the ideal scenario , but maybe not realistic for me. Lots of measurements and eyeballing is about the best I will do. I will be measuring combustion chambers to make sure they are equal. Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile

Size? Fuel Line Replacement
It seems to me I remember some hoses actually being a better fit with 1/4" hoses. I think maybe the supply from rail to carbs is actually 1/4". The 5/16 will work clamped down hard enough , but the 1/4 slides on tightly

So I guess you know what compression your dealing with? It will be interesting what timing you can run. I would definitely get a rich mixture going first. If you can run 35 all in I think you are doing good. Looks like a serious set up, so I would venture it has a cam? Really no details on the engine?

Cmon Steve -is this just a teaser? I've got a thread going here about this engine combo and you just casually say you have one!!!. Stronger than last engine? What timing are able to run? So you sure you have flat tops but in a N42 block? Good to hear about the header, but I was pretty sure that wasn't going to be an issue. The liners should fit well inside the gasket. What octane are you running? I imagine the head hadn't been cut?

L28+(maxima)47 build
Well I almost( not really) forgot how much work this is . Thank god for the Aleve ! Kind of doing this in the wrong order and now I am paranoid of nicking a seat with all this action. I found one spot already that will need to be checked with some lapping action. Ordered some smaller burrs so I can get around the guide a little better. Meanwhile I started the combustion chamber work. I've been trying a different tool in my arsenal to get things smoothed out. These chambers should come out nice and the 47 design should make for some good bang for the buck. Not going for size as much as clean and smooth and efficient .

Recommended breathing room for velocity stacks
I sold the carbs so I don't have any pics handy of the linkage . Never noticed any issues of piping movement . I used silicon couplers thru the radiator core so it probably absorbed the movement - no solid mounts . Still have the CAI- wall art for now. Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile

PCV Valves - not all the same?
I thought for the longest time that the design ( shape) was pretty much the only difference . Then I realized the amount of bypassed air was huge on some of them. I swear my triples idled better with I heavy by pass type valve vs the OEM. Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile

My Hoarding of Z Parts
I've been a Z car hoarder lately. I have 3 now and not enough parts to put them all together -so ...... Jerry, one of these days id love to see your projects. My wife works on the Richmond campus sometimes- I might drive her there if I could get some Z stuff in!!

Chipping away at it - aluminum chips that is. Blending seats and short side radius and cleaning up combustion chambers . Intakes definetly need a touch up. Larger casting stuff in the valleys .

Cliff , i cant imagine that it wouldn't work. The gasket would just cover the notches . id love to run LD, but it's a lot of work. Injectors and TB to mount. I finally broke down and bought a TIG , so I plan on using it . The LD intake has huge runners and long ones two. You would t think it but the they are twice as long as a N42 intake. So many ideas - so little time

L28+(maxima)47 build
Little update Haven't made much progress on the L28 part but have messed with the MN47 . After cutting on one for a while I think I found the port size that I am shooting for is 35mm(intake). It won't take much more than that without busting thru. That's a 4mm gain so I am pretty happy. I dropped the head off to a local machinist that has a flow bench and he is going to cut on it some more and do some flow testing. I left several chambers stock so we can do a direct comparison. I'm going with a 87mm and 89mm bore size. I figure most guys go over size when rebuilding. He is going to flow test with the 42mm intake and then the 44mm-again for direct comparison. The exhaust side is much easier , not a whole lot can be done. I gave the machinist some flow bench numbers I found from some L builders to shoot for. He was like -whoa- that's pretty good!! Since I have a plethora of these MN47 heads I am going to mount one on the L24 to get my FI conversion going. A gracious member here (Kenny Seo) basically gave me one of his that he had "beat" on pretty hard -including turbo charging. I dropped it off at the machinist to have pressure checked and cleaned to see if it was serviceable after it's 'Seo' life. The machinist returned to me cleaned up and said it was good to go!! The guides felt good and it was flat, "I'd run it"-he said. Since this head seems to like abuse I am going to port it and keep my other one stock to run on the L24. Confused yet- LOL- I know I am. So the stock valved MN47 will go on the L24 with a paper thin HG to try and get CR close to 11:1. I'll run the bigger port head on the L28. Had some fun swapping parts for some cool pics. Carbs are fun-but FI opens up a lot of options

New Fujitsubo Exhaust System to be Released
That is both tires chirping by the way:) i have fun with this subject because I caught a lot of crap for doing all the work making duals . Everyone had an opinion but no hard data on what exhaust is better. To me, there's no comparison as far as sound , but that's my opinion and taste . I'd do it again
