  1. Hell Fire - he’s got my AFM too ! Also get a preprogrammed MS Cliff. Though looking at all I have to do to get this 77 to run again- SU’s look easier , but it’s not my car. And I don’t ever see me going back with carbs again . Though this swap is a lot easier then going EFI on a carb only head :0
  2. Must be my lucky month. I get a 77 delivered to my house on Father’s Day and Chris is doing a thread on a 77!! saves me a lot searching because it will be covered quite well right here. I wont jack your thread but might make comparisons with my 9/76 . I’ll start my own thread since you’ve given me incentive . Funny that the car is the same color too.
  3. That 2.4 would love that cam and loosing the bottom end might be more about gearing than that cam. That is very streetable . 3:90 gears would be nice for a cam like that.
  4. The 76 is priority because it’s not mine ! Dropped the fuel tank today . After I drained the 12 or so gallons of 20 yea old gas out of it. Can’t tell if the tank is rusted inside or just gooed from the fuel. Trying some soaking in apple cider vinegar to see where I get on that. Tank was also the most damaged part of the car . Looked like the car rolled into a big rock . Goal is to get the car running and driving so the owner can just drive it for now. He never owned a Z and is not sure he will keep it. It’s so nice working on a rust free project. Still lots to do, but the body is a 9 for an unmolested car. Paint is shot , a few dings , it that’s it . The truck is second on the list because I need to keep moving on it. It’s in the wife parking spot and I’m getting some dirty looks lately :0
  5. Don’t understand your question about Dave ?
  6. Congrats . Dave Rebello told me today that my block is almost prepped , so I should see my stroker kit(3.2) soon !
  7. So somehow I have 4 going at once. Been too busy to play on the forums much lately . 71 is my car , which is the continuous project. Did take first place at the Midwest Heritage show this past weekend ! 70 is sitting on the rotisserie sideways to make enough room for the 30k mile 77 that just showed up from Reno. Then there’s the 83 720 4WD that’s supposed to be my retirement truck. I probably have to retire just to finish it at this rate. Having fun juggling all this, but it s almost too much. Might have to give up my RR career to concentrate on the Z studio projects .
  8. You won’t be disappointed ! I run MS If you decide to separate some of the FI stuff I might be interested

What shape is the dash pad in?
  13. Looks like you found a flywheel

Just had it cleaned and pressure checked . 150$ shipped
  15. I run a stage 3 on my L24 with no issues . Idles at 800 rpm , lug around in 4th gear in town at 1500 rpm if I wanted . Very streetable !
  16. Glad you like it Cliff and glad it motivates you. Need to get the L28 in there to really do some barking
  17. Add another 2” pipe -lol 39E5EEBE-E03F-4DDB-85E2-C15BC99073BD.mov
  18. Nice pic above , but also point out that is probably the stock intake valve which is only 42mm , so that side will be tight also when using the bigger valve N42
  19. You need to get your head on straight Cliff -lol put that 31 on there! Shave some more off of it first just for the hell of it.
  20. Actually there is very little difference between the n42 and late e88 in the L26 . The only difference is the N42 has the bigger intake valve .Same chamber size on both. Better clear it yourself or the valves will take care of it
  21. Notch your bores for breathing and piece of mind - it’s easy peasy
  22. Not a simple question . It depends on extent of removal. It would be better if you could drill out the spot welds attaching support rails to floor- only where you are removing floor. Leave the ends attached to the tunnel and inner rocker so you have a guide for floor position
  23. I believe Z Car Depot has them- Ebay- MSA
  24. Bigger valves , chamber unshrouded , shave some for CR bump, etc ....
