Was up to $21 bucks i think. :stupid: Or there was the Air Guitar, and shipping was free because they were not sending them anything. Or there was the guy selling pictures of big screen TV's Advertised as hi definition picture (no mention of TV in the ad). He'd post the picture of the TV to the winning bidder. The Police are investigating that one. He claims he was selling photographs of tv's and had done nothing wrong. Or there was a guy in spain selling mobile phones. He'd collect the money, then send them a brick!??? Why bother sending them anything? Sorry not much help i guess.

Yeah you should work out who legaly owns the car before you spend any money on it. Just because the guy never paid his bill doent mean the workshop can keep it. Surely there has to be some sort of legal ruling by a court or something. Different circumstances but, i read a story in the paper about a guy that pinched an old kingswood (Australian holden car from the 70's) that was unlicenced and not running, from the front yard of someones house. Spent something like 6 months and $4000 fixing it up getting it running, new paint etc. He then took it to get it licenced. The inspector noticed something wasn't right and was able to track the chassis back to the original owner who had reported it stolen. It went to court and the judge ordered the car be returned to the original owner, as is. The guy that did all the work wasn't allowed to remove anything from the car.

The R30 coupe next to it aint to shabby either. Some nice Z's in those photos also.

Sequential Twin turbo setups were created to try and overcome the turbo lag problem. The 1st turbo is a smaller one that spools up quickly in the lower rev range to provide some power. this feed into the larger turbo which takes over in the higher rev range when the smaller turbo's wastgate is wide open.

You need the gearbox. pedalbox and master and slave cylinders, and the piping to join them. maybe a different prop shaft? Possibly a rear gearbox mount if the auto one is different. The gear stick is different in teh 240k. its a straight one and the 240z is bent. I had a 240k box in my 2 and it wrecked my center console as the stick was just a bit too far forward. But I got a 260z box now which i plan to install. Probaly easier to do the work yourself.

The simpsons and malcome in the middle are good shows. Everybody hates raymond sucks. Guess you have to be married with childern to get that show. Theres a lot worse australian shows on tv, like neighbours and home and away, and all those stupid garden/home renovation shows.

I think there's 2 ways to repair the dash cracks. The simple way involves filling the cracks and smothing out the ridges caused by the cracks, then vacuum moulding some new vinyl over the dash. The harder way involves removing all the old vinyl and repairing or replacing the foam padding, then vacuum moulding some new vinyl over the dash. I think thats how dashboard restorations do it. I want my Dash done too. Maybe we can all get together and do a bulk order and get some sort of discount.

I Thought you were disagreeing with g260 and saying that car number one was not preped in australia, and that car number 2 was. But I guess you mean that its also another car to be preped in OZ. Guess i mis-interperated what you meant.

I havent seen the run dvd, but i have the mini disc cd preview that nissan mailed out to me. I also downloaded the preview movie of the net ages ago from the a nissan site. The thing with the chase from bullet it that is looks really good, but then you notice that its the same bit of driving from differerent camera angles, especially in the city. Steve overtakes the same VW beetle about 4 times. Must be a hot VW to keep up with the mustang, so that he has to keep overtaking it Just some clever editing i think I Remember Going to a Smashing Pumpkins Concert in Perth back in the 90's (when Mellon collie and the infinate sadness album was out) and before thay came on, they played the Car chase from Bullet on the Big Screen behind the Stage.

Only in the US though. The rest of the world (well Australia at least) had a 260z that was more powerful than the 240z, and it survived up untill it was replaced by the 280ZX. We never got a 280z as such, but later model 260Z's were essentially 280Z's with L26's in them. I have a 260z that i bought for parts. Dont know what year it is exactly (that an intersting story) but it has round tops carbies. Not the same as the 240z carbies, but i've never seen a set of flat tops, except for in pitures of american z cars.

Off topic, but Datto_240z, where's that screen grap come from thats your avatar. Is that from a game, if so what one? 240z came with 5 speeds in australia:love: No swaps necessary. But we never got turbo L28.:mad: Swapping gearboxes, diffs and engines from all 2(4/6/8)0z is relatively easy, so get the chassis you like and you can put whatever you like in it. Even changing the bumpers to 240z style ones shouldnt be too hard should it?

I Read that the car chase for Eleanor takes half the movie, and that the stunt driver, (who wrote and was producer of the movie) was killed filming the sequel.

So why does the 240z that won have an Australian Licence plate on it (YPF-474 New South Wales) if its not an Australian Prepared car?

My resto is going slowly. I'm doing as much of the work as I can. I've had 3 weeks off work over christmas and newyears, but still haven had much od a chance to work on my car. Catching up with friends and family gets in the way. I'm not going the factory original route. I'm painting my car black (why did nissan wait untill 77 to bring out a blask S30?) and fitting air conditioning. Currently the car is totaly dismantled and up on stands while I work on the chassis (removing paint, finding rust, removing rust etc etc). Have to repair the sunroof hole in the roof panel. I have a doner roof ready for the transplant. I'd like to have it finished (well, drivable) for the next Z day, but i'm not sure if thats a realistic target.

How much does a GT wing cost anyway?

Lee, were those lights you bought sealed beam units, or Halogen globe types, and if so were they an easy replacemt for the stock lights. I've got stock sealed beams, and Hella halogen types out of my 260z. Havent decided which to use yet. (one of the hella's is cracked.
