  1. I wonder if anyone has attempted such a repair on this site and were pleased with the results???
  2. Is it possible to weld up the sunroof professionally and then smooth it all out and paint it, so the welds do not show??
  3. Guys you are both correct. Thank you for your help.
  4. Thank you for the information Mike. Will be in contact very shortly, at work at the moment, to ask for shipping costs to London England. Thanks again for the very fast response.
  5. Does anyone have any recommendations as to who to buy from?? Looking for a good deal. I have seen the ones offered at www.strictlyz.com and this looks to be the best deal I have found so far. Opinions please.. Does this forum support group buys? If Mike approves, and enough of us are interested maybe we can get a discount on a group purchase??? Thanks, George.

Hey Burt, Does it only do this when cold? When you turn the key to the on position, so that the dash lights come on, can you hear the fuel pump make any noise? Wait around 6 secs and then turn the key all the way to fire her up. Just wondering if its fuel pump related??????
  7. OOps! Forgot about the Z33!
  8. Keep an eye on zparts, com wheel page. They dont have any Watanabes up at the moment but you could always email Eric and ask him to look out for a set for you.
  9. This Z thing is an addiction, I use to scratch my head at people who owned more then one Z car and wonder why??? Now people look at me and do the same thing!! I also have a 280ZX and we have a Z32 TT in the family as well! Let me know if any of you guys are 280ZX fans as the 280 is in the process of restoration adn I could do with some help!
  10. I think a few Mustangs had them? I cant seem to find a pic on the web but I saw some last week and they looked real nice. If anyone knows the rims I'm referring too whats your view? Thanks.
  11. Guys thank you so much for the detailed info. Daniel, I agree about changing everything in one hit, I have already ordered my outer leather nice thing and now have to order all the other bits. It is so damn cold here that it wont be until another few months before I can bring myself to enter the garage and do the work. At present I could probably hang meat inside my Z and it would stay fresh. My suspension is another job on the list. I have already purchased outer tie rod ends and next I have to order a bushing kit, cheapest i have found is for $170.00. Yet again another job for when the weather improves I'd also like to apply POR15 to must of my suspension bits..... = alot of work this SUMMER!! Oh did I mention I'd like to fit new weather stripping too?
  12. I am not sure if any of you guys are familiar with how dim the headlights are on a Z32? A member of my club used ALCAN all around the inside area of the light and it has helped night time driving considerably. Others in the group have tried his technique and swear it works. This could be used instead of the white Hobby paint. Care obviously must be taken with your wiring as Alcan being aluminium based could cause a short and maybe a fire... I suppose I have put everyone off now!
  13. Hi Daniel, and thank you for remembering! The plastic shifter pieces is what I think Victoria British refer to as "Gear Shift Lever Boot". They have a diagram and they call the cosmetic one you refer too as "Shift Boot Outer". The bit below in their diagram is the "Shift Boot Inner" and then comes the "Gearshift Lever Boot" it looks like a round bushing. It is only $4.95, I REALLY do hope that it will stop this annoying rattle noise! Daniel if this still isnt the bit you mean please tell me. Thank you!! PS: I agree, I dont think they have got their terminology 100% correct, it is a very misleading title, as it does sound like an outer 'cosmetic' boot.
  14. If I change this, should the gear stick vibrate less? It makes an anoying sound at the moment. The sound goes when I hold the stick. I cant say it vibrates alot but enough to make a high pitch annoying sound. Thanks.
  15. Hi Baron, lovely Z, do you have any close up pics of the exhaust you could put up? How easy was it fitting them?? Do you have to weld brackets along the side rails? I expect it has to be a cutom job inorder to do this? Thanks.
  16. I was looking at this photo a member displayed regarding shaved door handles and I really like the exhaust setup. Has anyone done this? Whats involved? Do YOU like it? Thanks.
  17. You paid how much??? The guy saw you comming man!! Could you not have haggled him any more?? Ha ha!! Were all jealouse! what a great buy!

Hi Jerry, How's the Z art going? I hope to see more illustrated Z's in your gallery. I don't suppose you, or anyone else, can give me an estimate on how much this crank weighs? It's a possible future project and I'd have to ship one over from the US (Gulp!). Thank you.
  21. Last I heard, were that the fires were very close to Canberra. Hope everyone is okey and that the fires are now under control.
  22. You won't be dissapointed this is really mad!!! Take a look at what the Polish modifiers are up too!! Pick any mirror site you like to download it, only go for this is you have a cable modem. http://mybox.trenger.ro/~torgeir/malec.wmv This is really totally mad and dangerous to other road users, pedestrians etc..... Imagine seeing this overtake you enough to make anyone break suddenly, scratch their head and wonder if they've been drinking.
  23. Daniel, thanks for the write up. It seems that the biggest difficulty is contending with the choke knob. I don't have one, which should make the job much easier! The choke knob was removed, now sitting in my garage, when the L28 FI was installed (not by me), since there was no longer a use for it. Feel better now the jobs going to be easier. I'll let you know when I do the job, but its going to take me a while to get all the parts from the US and over here and then I am slow at getting round to jobs anyway! I checked out that guy on ebay and he has a website with loads of Z parts. I'll but up his web address later tonight or at the weekend as it may be useful to anyone.
  24. Congratulations go out to the new lucky owner. Am i just being niave to be a bit surprised with Nissan for restoring a car to new condition, the guy driving it only 15,000 miles and for so many bits to go wrong. I guess its just sods law, damn unlucky though!
