  3. Why couldn't it head west!!!! [emoji31]
  4. Interesting! My windshield came out with a ton of sealant on it.....
  5. All right. That's it. No more sanding and filling the bottom chassis. Cleaned the shop up tonight. Will do it again the next time I'm in there, then on to the seam sealing! Whew!
  6. Strange how I am an electronics tech for the military but find more joy in the mechanics of the car... electrical I understand but enjoy much less!
  7. Hard to tell for sure, but those welds don't look like they got much penetration.... Looks like you ran out of gas during the MIG welding. Hope they are good!
  8. I will feel a lot better when the sealer coat is on and everything is ready for final paint (on the bottom/chassis) and clear.
  9. I guess this is more like practice for the outer shell. The more I do here the more confident I get for doing the body work on the outer panels. Still have a couple more days of hand sanding the base primer before seam sealer. Then a major clean up before the sealer coat of the interior, underside and engine bay.
  10. Mostly boring work and little to show. Detail work on the inner fenders and engine bay. Sanding down the DTM 2K and prepping for seam sealer and primer sealant. And a couple of quarter shots for reference later.
  11. His will be a street legal tubular framed resto mod. Most likely an RB going in. He has a 370 as well so it won't be a daily.
  12. A friend has made his license plate a flip up filler location for his fuel cell. I think he has an American muscle car license plate unit mounted over it now. Car is still in progress.
  13. I am going the same route with a shaved intake and pallnet rail. I too am curious. My car will only be summer driven but in Canada, that can still mean cold mornings.
  14. While the rest of us muggles scratch our heads, Harry Potter here performs more magic.... Incredible work as usual.
  15. Tell her the car will match her new set of pearl earrings...
  16. Glass bead in my blasting cabinet. Super fine. Slow work but pretty.
  17. These are a couple pictures of one from my 9/75 production 280Z I will check my shop this weekend for any hi/lo markings. I suspect the decibel rating is the clue...
  18. He was the head medic. Notice everyone giving the "thumbs up".... military humour
  19. Just be glad you don't have to do any hand stitching like I had done!...
  20. Mine just burns steaks...
  21. After viewing your pictures of the quarter panels I am convinced you would have been burned at the stake for witchcraft 200 years ago....
  22. That is an original one owner 71 in that picture.
