  1. Tank looks nice inside now!
  2. When it fails to crank, put a jumper wire between the battery cable and ignition wire on the starter. Make sure the car is in neutral.
  3. I think the LSZ will be an awesome car.
  4. Thanks, I really like the way that combo looks on your car, I would like to find something similar.
  5. Those look nice! Are the wheels 15x7?
  6. Beautiful work!
  7. It's nice those are still available.
  8. I bet the old one is just shrunk!
  9. I have successfully stuck those back on with JB Weld. You have to press the tab down firmly while the epoxy is setting.
  10. I just checked Rock Auto, and they are still out of stock for a 74. I'll check NAPA.
  11. If you can get it apart, where can you find parts to rebuild it? Mine stopped working, too.
  12. Lucky you, my left turn signal doesn't work, and I have been waiting for a year for it to fix itself.
  13. My clutch pedal pad is 9 inches from the floor pan with no carpet, so it seems 8 7/8ths with a floor covering is about right. I have about 2 3/4 inches of rod inside the firewall to the clevis adjuster. It looks like you have the short rod, do you still have the old master cylinder?
  14. I purchased a clutch master cylinder from Rock Auto, it was very cheap and works fine. I did have to swap the pushrod from the original cylinder to the replacement one, for some reason the aftermarket pushrod was too short. No problems otherwise.
  15. I had the same clearance problem accessing the bolt when I changed my broken original mount. On the new one, I used a die grinder to remove a little metal from the mount so I could use the original bolts. Got good access with a standard socket and ratchet.
  16. You're a lucky guy!
  17. Maybe so, it does have a nice solid feel. I thought it was an original part until reading the information here.
  18. Someone long ago replaced my coupler with one made of solid aluminum. I have not driven the car over 20 MPH yet, so I haven't experienced the vibrations. I may have to look into a softer one someday.
  19. Really nice work on that, glad you posted pictures of the machine you used, very interesting.
  20. Your car looks great, glad you got it fixed.
  21. What a tragedy!
  22. Try running it without the gas cap, maybe its clogged.
  23. I read your update, interesting story. Some pics would have been nice, but I got a good mental image from your description.
