Somethings wrong...
If the plugs are black, it's either over-fueling, or a bad spark or not enough air into the engine ( AFM )

How often do you drive your vintage Z?
The only problem I have is that it's a 46 year old car ( and it's getting pretty rare, more each year ) and driving in today's dense and much faster traffic, makes me a bit sweaty in the hands and nervous sometimes, constantly looking ahead on what other drivers are doing..., because there are alot of reckless drivers on the road these days. I have to say that when I take it out for a cruise, i'd rather drive the country roads or at least stay away from dense traffic/cities.

How often do you drive your vintage Z?
Sadly I don't live in a place that has nice warm weather all year. So during the winter it's stored, but I try to start it once a month if clear weather ( can't go on the road because of salt ). Then when the weather get's above 15c I'm starting to use it again, usually during the weekends, or I should have a free day off work. I use non ethanol fuel in the Datsun so it can be stored longer without problems. I can get 102 RON pure gasoline in Germany just across the border here, for the same price as 95 RON with 5% ethanol here..

E31 Head and Steering rack for sale
Difficult to give prices ? Here are pictures of the steering rack. It has a new bearing SKF 6003, everything cleaned, checked and re-greased. Rebuild according to the original manual. There's no play or worn out things. Ready to use ! The rack is sand blasted, cleaned and 3 coats of grey paint. After complete assembly extra grease was applied to the rack, through the lubcriation points. Price for the head ? Around 1000 USD ( I will ask 1500 outside of this club ) , the Rack 300 USD ( ex shipping )

1977 280Z In The House
Could be head noise or rod noise. Either way take it apart before you start it again to check everything. Nice 280Z !

Another BAT sale 73 Z $25,000
Yup. It's missing the outer door kick plates with " datsun " on them. Many things not original on this 73 model if you wanna be picky before you throw cash around... Seems like they did quite a lot to the car, suspension and brakes where done etc. I can't look under that paint what's hiding there, but with 25k the seller cannot complain imo.

Good eye Mart. Yeah they could at least have put a pair of new rubbers on the pedals..

Nissan 2400 OHC value cover
That would be the only reason you would want to buy one ( for restoration if you are missing the early valve cover ), from beginning of 71 the last 240Z's came with this valve cover. I see no reason putting an early valve cover on a mid 71 or later 240z.

240z Paint shop issues!!
I had a topic on the door seals a while back how I solved the slamming, when restoring my 240z. All the aftermarket ones, even from vintage rubber are wrong. The Original ones where very soft, because the door is very light. You should not need to slam it even with the new rubber. It took me a while to find the correct rubber at a local supplier, for a few bucks really, not the 90 dollar per side vintage is asking Edit: here's the link

240Z from TN
Nice rides ! Love the brown interior on the 240z ! Kafers ( Dutch is Kever ) are fun, most people here hate em, but I kinda like em ( not the mexican ones ). Those air cooled motors are fun to work on.

Talk about a survivor!
I can tell you there is rust on that chassis... Also it needs lots of work to get it in a nice original condition again. And it's a 72, less desired than a 69/70 and 71. It's say his asking price of 7500 is fair. I would pay between 7500 -10.000 for this.

'73 240Z rebuild...slow project but I love it :)

1970 240Z HLS30- 06026 For Sale (original)
Seems like a mostly original survivor here. Prices for early 240z's have gone up. I'd go with motorman that's a 15k car. Maybe a bit more for a serious investor/collector.

Black Dragon Closing
Best way is to put it in a container or something with somebody else, who is shipping parts or a car. Air freight is very expensive. One thing I don't understand is that they charge ALOT when shipping from the US > EU, but when I send the same package EU > US, I pay alot less here... I find it strange. Are they over charging us Europeans, to make an extra buck on shipping ?

My Datsun 240Z
I am just back from a road trip through Germany, Austria and Czech Republic. This year was with the 1970 Mustang, but next year will be 2 weeks and with the 240z ! ( Swiss, Italy, Monaco and Spain for 2017 roadtrip ! ) Gas $$ was really to much with the Mustang hehe, I've burned close to a 1000 euro on fuel.. Here's a few nice pictures We visited the Speyer Museum this time, and again the US car meeting in Sinsheim ( over 700 cars !, next year they will hold it 2 days ! ) I've also visited " the Kehlsteinhaus " which is on the Obersalzberg, which is the late house of the dictator Adolf Hitler. It's almost 2 km up. Very nice views !
