Okay you got me stumped with that. Curve over the middle of the plate? I missed the exit on the bridge I guess. Sleep tight

This doesn't mean much after hearing about John's passing but we have to keep trudging along in this life. Ups and downs. I stopped for a new set of plugs before firing it up. Now I'll wait until in the morning.

RIP John Coffey
Oh no! This is horrible news. Sad, sad. RIP Mr. Coffey.

I'm pretty sure @Blue found that video a few years ago. I sure do miss the stuff he put up for us to see, always a good sense of humor.

A stretched Vespa! That's cool.

I peeled a piece of red-kote out of the first can I bought for my 280, about 4 years ago. It stays pliable and I dropped it into a jar of gas for a week or so, no change no pink gas either. I think the trick is to let it cure for a couple of weeks. People get in a hurry and put fuel in the tank too soon.

New owner of '77 280z from Upstate SC
I sure am sorry to hear about your health issues. Fortunately they have come so far with treatment now you have a good chance of beating it, my next door neighbor did with something called "proton therapy" at MD Anderson in Texas. Best of luck. I personally wouldn't spend another dime on your Z, $9,000 is a lot already for a 280. If it was a 240, maybe you'd get your money back. Again, best of luck.

You can get a new sender and o-ring from Nissan for about $50 then lay it beside the old one and get the arm bent the same. Then cut all that crap off the old one and use it to seal the hole. Sender part #25060-E4100, $42. O-ring #17342-18000, $1.50 My old one. See the crud line? The new one,

Another conundrum -- Rear License Plate Light housing
I remember somebody noticed the boxes in the hatch were probably the hubcaps. It doesn't look like the hold down hooks have been installed on the rear bumper brackets yet either. The different colored sticker in the window probably determines which US port they went to. Here's my inspiration photo, the reason I went back to graphite instead of black the dealership had done to match the spoiler. It's the same color as the scallop hubcaps according to Wick Hubble's "How to Restore" book.

It came to me set wrong. I put it on and ran it for a month like that. Quality control is left up to us I suppose.

To follow up, for mine pointing to #1 and adjustment screw centered, they equaled out at .015" on my feeler gauge.

My new remanufactured distributor is in need of adjustment according to Blue's rebuild. I don't have equal spacing between the reluctor and stator. Thanks @Blue Mine looks like this, And it should look like this, Another day, another problem. But I'm glad to get it right now instead of later and I need something easy to do and get off my back and feet, yesterday I was under the car all day. Today I have knots on my forehead! and transmission fluid in my ear.

I had to google.com that, so it's a little before my time. I don't remember any "comedy records" from my youth, we had a VCR as big as a microwave. I did like Peter Sellers in The Pink Panther though. I grew up in the 70s.

For me and my teenage buddies it was "Monty Python and the The Holy Grail". My Mom had a VHS tape of it. We spit our cookies and milk () out when he cut off the Black Night's arm. "tis but a scratch".

This is how it was when I pulled the motor. Does it look okay? I think it's at full advance but I never could wrap my head around electrical timing. It's the '79 zx with e12-80 module. @Zed Head @Captain Obvious

You are absolutely right. If I leave it open they'd fall out. Hell they'd have to learn to rappel to get in there.
