  1. Why did you remove the mechanical fuel pump to begin with?
  2. I like that, closer to the color of the steering wheel.
  3. For a rebuilt auto parts one I used rockauto.com or amazon.com, can't remember which was the lower priced. I do remember having to send a core back though. After that it was right at $100 for the smaller 240 one. You'll need to paint it, it's raw steel out of the box.
  4. Quietly hiding in the shadows of your garage...Evil Z
  5. On my Samsung you have to hit the options button and it'll pull up choices.
  6. Add the new RECIPIENT to the text message, you can delete the OP if you want to so he don't get it again. I think that's how I do mine?
  7. I'm still getting the hang of it, not too good yet and just don't care. But if you hold your finger down on that little blue thing or double tap it (can't even remember now) a copy and paste menu bar will pop up. It's not worth the trouble really, I push the power button and the menu button at the same time and get a screen grab saved to my gallery then just attach that. I like the newest Sonic commercial, guy says "one of them new fancy paper phones?" the other guy says "a fax machine".
  8. I copy and pasted these from your link above without any trouble.
  9. Yeah, itn't this the '77 and '78?

  11. It's had me scared for the past few days, I live in the woods but lucky for me they've cut all the pines out already. Those tall Southern pines are ticking bombs around here. Dad said he had to get to it first and then he just straight wired it somehow and the clutch kicked in and it started blowing cold. What he did before checking that switch I don't know. It's a fairly new Lincoln Town Car and all the crap on the dash had to be a nightmare to remove. I imagine my Dad made the mechanic mad complaining so he charged him top dollar I'm sure. You know that you catch more flies with honey than vinegar.
  12. have you ever tried adding some choke when it starts misbehaving?
  13. My Dad spent $250 to find out the A/C switch on the control panel was bad, not allowing the compressor to engage. I actually just got back from pulling one at a junkyard for him. I got the whole panel for free, they are going to crush the car when the metal prices go up some anyway. Fortunately the guy that took the dash apart to troubleshoot can now put it back together, not me.
  14. New Lexus LC looks a lot like the Nissan Z concept car to me. Yep, I believe I would.
  15. You may have some bad rubber allowing water to get in, that old musty car smell? I live in a very humid area and found a gun safe dehumidifier in the cabin helped a lot. https://www.amazon.com/Improved-Eva-dry-E-333-Renewable-Dehumidifier/dp/B000H0XFCS/ref=sr_1_2?s=home-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1493815584&sr=1-2&keywords=gun+safe+dehumidifier
  16. California car too! You won't have any trouble selling that one, it looks really good. maybe pay a professional to wheel and wax the paint, couple of hundred bucks and will make it really pop.
  17. You haven't seen his wife, Meg White! She's purdy and looks 30 @ the most.
  18. Not sure if this is pertinent but heres what I did for a cheap cold air intake. http://www.classiczcars.com/topic/57527-does-the-maf-sensor-need-to-be-adjusted-for-egr-delete/?do=findComment&comment=518477
  19. @Zed Head I would quickly be asked to leave my neighborhood if I bought those. Low vins don't interest me anyway. Thanks though.
  20. back the timing closer to spec and see if that decreases the popping. Didn't you say yesterday an exhaust shop said there was no leaking? That's who would know and will have high quality gaskets if needed.
  21. Don't believe everything you read.

  23. Try googleing hagerty classic car valuation. They use #1 thru #4. See where Punkin falls.
  24. Are Bridgestones the OE tires for 240s? I keep seeing them as the original spare. Mine has a "Metric" spare. Thanks for any information. Cliff
  25. I bought a '76 in 1986 after my Dad kept taking my Camaro away every time I did something he didn't like, about once a month. I had a savings account he didn't know about that my Mom started when they divorced. Bought the Z and had it registered in my Mother's name and told him to drive that Camaro up his arse. He was a big "buy American" guy back then so it really stung for him but about 5 years later my girlfriend slung a rod cap through the block of my 2nd Z. A '78 that me and my Dad rebuilt together. It wouldn't crank at first so he goes to work and ask his friends, he had the firing order set to a straight six Chevy or Ford, changed the wires around and BOOM ran like a champ.
