Glad you are OK!!!! I'm so sorry that happened, the other driver will most likely have to pay since they were speeding. Who knows what will come of it, but, I am certainly glad you are not hurt more than you were.

Day 13 Update - Rest day: Novosibirsk Repairs: -Rebuilt steering rack -Properly addressed exhaust leak by surfacing flanges -Changed oil -Fixed windshield wipers -Removed ~100lb of weight (spares, camping gear) -Repaired punctured tire -Installed new mirrors -Repaired passenger door/window mechanism Just about ready for a 700km rally to Omsk tomorrow! -

KiraK, if you look closely at this plate you'll notice the paint is overlapping it. This means the car was repainted at one point in its life. Not sure if that matters, but, good to know. As far as the black pearl I can't help you much more than what has already been shared here. I do know they made a Black Gold 10th Anniversary edition car that could be a collectors item someday. You can find an example on eBay right now: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Datsun-Z-Series-280zx-/282072116897?forcerrptr=true&hash=item41acceeea1&item=282072116897 Hope this helps, I would buy a black gold just to have one. But, I don't have the space.

Just wondering if people find the chat room helpful. It's not a big deal to keep it going but I think a chat room could be used for some pretty cool things. Help with a Zcar technical challenge, for instance. Would it be a good idea to set up some kind of regular chat session so members can jump in and ask questions? It might be kind of fun. FYI, I added a block to the main page called "who's chatting" so you can look to see who's in there before you jump in.
