  1. Thanks. The base/color coat is Dupli-Color BFM0360 Dark Shadow Gray - a Ford color. Credit for the research and development of this process goes to our very own member @CanTechZ and I have used it on several sets of panels, including the ones on my car. The pics I included are part of a set currently posted in the Classifieds if you want to see more images.
  2. More tea, Vicar? After you've welded on those used rear quarters, Frankenstein style. you might find a few unsightly gaps need filling. We have just the product you need! No Nonsense expanding foam fills the space lacking in your integrity as well as in your car...
  3. It's always a good day when the plating comes back, makes all those hrs at the wire wheel worth it.
  4. Hello, here are pictures of the backside, I don't know why I didn't think to upload these but I will add them to the listings as well. They are very accurate reproductions and the paint and chrome look great, we also make the emblem centers as well which are included. Please contact me on the site or on my website if you guys have any questions, thanks!
  5. Sorry, but no. Everything comes out the front. You have to uncrimp the stainless cover on the side where you insert the key. That silver cover is known as a "facecap", and it's crimped in place. Here's a pic of the facecap removed and the lock partially disassembled:
  6. 3" OD, 9" long resonator came today, so I'll hopefully get that in tomorrow. In the middle of making bike carrier adapters to hold the Volvo/Thule load bars & bike carriers I have had since the early 90's. I added stake holders to the bed sides when I made the truck. When my kids were young, we would typically fit 4 bikes on the roof of whatever Volvo wagon I had at the time. Wife & I are going to go upstate NY & CT in a couple weeks to do some hiking & rail trail biking. my bike is almost as old as my pickup.
  7. It sounds like you are satisfied with the color, just not the gloss. I agree - way more glossy than OE. Try this: Dupli-Color HWP106 Wheel Matte Clearcoat. That will get you back to a OE-like finish. These are done with a different product for the color, topped with the Wheel Matte Clearcoat.
  8. Welp, it finally happened. Someone reproduced these. If they are as decent as they look, the value of originals just tanked.
  9. 5 Gallons 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️Obviously I meant 5 Qt jug!!
  10. Hello all! You may remember me from a few years back, I was mostly just lurking though. I finally got my S30! It's a 1978 280z, with a 5 speed, 69k miles, factory AC (still running R12!), dealer addon cruise control and bumper overriders. It's just about 100% stock, except for the louvers on the back. Here, let's see some more pics! As you can see, there's some damage on the air dam. It happened the day after I picked her up, a tire carcass suddenly appeared from under the car in front of me and I couldn't react in time. I think I was following too close... I was gonna get rid of the bumpers anyway, but IDK what to do that doesn't involve a whole lot of work on the back (more on that later). You may also notice a few dings all over the body. I don't mind them too much, it just means I can drive her without worrying about messing up perfect paint.
  11. Perhaps Resurrected Classics should post photos of the back side of the hub caps. Neither the ebay ad nor the website (https://resurrectedclassics.com/products/datsun-240z-d-hubcap-set) offers back side photos! This would allow potential buyers to make a more informed decision on the accuracy of the reproduction. Keith
  12. just a "little" more intense... 😂 .... wow.. No, nothing wrong.. hihi..
  13. Problem solved. apparently the cause was water intrusion during the above mentioned storm which eventually seized up the shifter. Continual lubrication and gentle tapping finally freed up the shifter so now i can access four gears and reverse. Now on to the next challenge. thanks for your comments and suggestions.
  14. LSD R 200 units are extremely rare. If you can find one grab it. Not sure where you are located. Tried to look at your profile and it errored out. I have a R200 3:90 available but not interested to ship it. Just too costly.
  15. I had a spare clutch sleeve, think it was from a ZX, anyway with it sitting on top of the pressure plate fingers its about 105mm from the flange of the pressure plate to the very end of the throw out assembly (with old bearing sitting on the fingers). Its about 10mm from the end of the assembly to the point of contact where the fork rides. So overall about 95mm from the flywheel to the clutch fork. Somewhere around I think i saw 92mm as what this dimension should be. I will check it against the old one when I get it out to be sure. The quality of the excedy is so much better than the kit I got from auto zone years ago. the PP fit to the dowels pefectly and I like the made in japan bearing it came with (Koyo).
  16. Yes, I agree. Only a real ding bat would install that nylon washer wrong.
  17. Glad that helped. That guy in the video can be a real ding bat sometimes. 🙂
  18. Got to imagine there are all kinds of nasty surprises on a car like that!
  19. Some holes are too big for No Nonsense foam, so when you fit a complete impact-bumper type rear panel on your 1970 production-dated model you'll just have to put up with some nonsense like this:
