  1. I did some work on the site, it may have been around the time you logged in. However, that said it looks like things are a bit more speedy! I configured our caching system to render our pages first (before any external resources).... apparently it was configured to wait for all resources to load before it would show you a page. Let me know if you guys see any problems. Mike
  2. There was some light mist and a lot of clouds this morning, but I took the 240Z to a car show. There were a few other S30s and a Skyline that owners brought out to enjoy the unseasonably warm weather.
  3. Present! I've noticed that a few other forums I frequent are low on activity. Maybe we're all preoccupied with the possibility of the end of things as we've known them. I am.
  4. Started to disassemble my E88 closed chamber head. Hope to have this ported etc. Have a new cam for it but need to get my hands on some new valves and springs etc. IMG_1138.MOV
  5. Scored new in box Interpart Mulholland shocks for the 240Z on EBay. Had been searching a few years for some fronts and up pops a set of front and rear. Will be great with the full BRE suspension setup I have.
  6. I wouldn’t use the Schneider cams, only the reground original cams ground by Isky or some other regrinder. There have been metallurgical problems with the blanks ( not Schnieder’s fault ). You can use the early L28 valves, but you’ll have to install new seats. You are correct on using shorter seals if the lift is over .460 inches and comp springs (prevents stacking) and correct lash pads (.160 to .180). I highly recommend the Stage III Isky regrind .490 lift…..it ain’t that radical. You can get their springs and lash pads too when you mail them your original camshaft for grinding.
  7. From what I remember when I was thinking about building up my e31 was the cut cams used the valves from the 2.8 zx heads. p79, p90, not sure about the n42 or n47. @Diseazd would know for sure. You'll need shorter valve seals too. I've got all the stuff just not the time to do it. Maybe I'll have a long cold winter and turn my kitchen into a machine shop? Found these on ebay 10 or more years ago, a must have from all I've read. Edit secret: you can get the cam kit a helluva lot cheaper straight from Schneider. Sorry msa...
  8. Yea, I ponder old age all the time. I just ain't like it useta was.
  9. Haven’t posted much progress but I thought this looked cool. It’s finally coming back together… once I have the car back on the ground, I’ll pull off the doors and trunk lid and start the body work.
  10. I am so excited about to see this picture. After spending hours of looking at the picture I found a Z432-R doesn’t have a pair of shoulder strap mounts for the passenger side . The difference between them is a persons on board.Maybe it doesn’t a thing to be mentioned , does it? Here are the pictures which I took recently, 1969 Z432-R . I have a question. Do you see the two brackets at the duct opening for the blower motor ? I am thinking the brackets could be only for PZR. If so, how about a PZR body Works car like yours . I am curious about it. Also , a mounting bracket for an igniter, do you see it in your car ? Kats
  11. There was a vigorous wind storm Friday and our power was knocked out by falling trees. Twentynine spans of wire from the main line up on the county road to our house, and the twenty third span is the one down. The cutout is at the end of the eighth span, killing power to twenty four homes, all but four having private wells (including ours) so not only no electricity, but no water. Oh, and no innernet either. So I won’t be checking in much until the power is restored. The electric utility (the one I worked at as a truck mechanic for 30 years) had over 150,000 customers out of power Saturday morning, mostly around Camano Island. This morning they still have over 75,000 out, and the focus is the areas where the larger numbers of customers are affected, so our small number of affected customers aren’t a priority.
