  1. Wall art my butt!! If the quarter is good, its a donor!!
  2. If you look for my ‘flying z’ thread I had a similar issue, I still have some in mine. I let the perstone cleaners sit in the block for a while took a bunch of crap out. ^^^ TWO WEEKS?! That shits still not done 😂😂😂😂
  3. Haha, not a bad idea. Ill most likely just save for the 6AL, I plan on doing it very soon anyways. I don't like finding posts without a solution so I will always post the solution on my threads. Thanks for the help, now to make a new thread if my jetting is proper for my Engine setup
  4. Well it came down to the coil! Put the stock one back on, fired up the car and what do you know, tach now shows where my car is idling at! So my question is, if I want to stick with the MSD unit, could I just add a potometer or a resister to the blue Tach wire and get it to work like that? To my knowledge I was told to upgrade to MSD or something similar with the ZX dizzy and Triple weber setup. I plan on getting the MSD 6AL in the future so I know once I do that my tach will need to be hooked up completely different.

Consider the source. Looks like just more distraction. Essential part of the shell game. https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2020-election/trump-announces-rudy-giuliani-has-covid-n1250163

I'm more concerned about Lewis Hamilton.
  8. @zKars, Thanks so much. I didn't mean to disappear but I go battle Covid for two days a week and I don't spend much time here in the mean time... I'm back, I have three tanks of propane and the garage is warming up as I type. Let's get this done!
  9. Sorry, I don't smoke. 😉 He offered to do for free, which is why I let him try it. So it wasn't a good deal, even for free.
  10. Yes you will get power out both bullet connectors. What's happening when you crank and test with the test light is the positive is also passing through the coil in the csv. If you disconnect the csv connector you should only get power from one bullet connector. The other bullet connector will be the ground circuit for the csv and the (-) signal to terminal 21 in the ecu which tells the ecu the csv is active.
  11. The seller states the following: Drivers side of a datsun 240z for a man cave. This is a full size car. Was going to hang it on the wall. Has been gutted to lighten it. Includes slotted wheels and tires. That would be something to see a 240Z with wheels & tires on a large wall! 310-871-708six trebor
  12. I was comparing it with the Hayseed Dixie cover of Back in Black in the previous post. It's definitely different than Snoop D O double G. And THIS drove me crazy last night trying to remember. But alas! my old brain got a good dose of caffeine this morning and I found what I was looking for.
  13. Hey @Diseazd, now you can have a whole side of a Z hanging on your garage wall !! 😉
  14. You need to be willing to travel! Use search tempest and search craigslist nationwide. I suspect your budget is too low but who knows. I think your no rust priority is the right one
  15. I think this is actually faster. Definitely different.
  16. Balled of Curtis Loew.
  17. Same theme. Gin and Juice a lil slower.
  18. Back in Black done a little slower.

Stupidity shouldn't always be painful, sometimes it needs to be fatal. Even then they never learn.

The problem is that Darwin's Natural Selection does not work for humans anymore. There are unnatural ways to correct their wrongs.
  21. Victory! With about 30 mins to an hour of careful sanding, testing the fit of the bearing on the spindle and repeating until it was perfect, I finally got everything to seat properly. I strayed away from the FSM a little, using a socket wrench rather than a torque wrench. Tightened the nut while rotating the hub until it became both hard to tighten the nut and rotate the hub. I then gave one more strong (but not too strong) go on the nut and then backed off the nut until the hub rotated freely, finally tightening and loosening the nut to get it as close as possible to the point where the hub starts to drag a bit, for lack of a better word, but still allowing smooth rotation. It has been a trying endeavor, yes. I'd never done something like this before, and, going into it, it seemed like it'd be a relatively straight forward affair. I kept getting thrown curveballs though, and what I figured would be a couple days work turned into about two weeks. I'm not complaining though, it was a good learning experience, and now I'll be that much more proud if my car doesn't fall apart next time I take it out. All I'm really complaining about is the fact I haven't driven my z in two weeks 😢 Thanks everybody for your invaluable know how! Cheers!
  22. If it has the indents I'd guess that they were smashed in there when the car was dragged through the field. And the front end might just be smashed and rusty 76 parts. JUST SAYING!! (Why am I even writing about this turd...)
  23. You are on cam position #1. That is fine. Your mechanical valve timing is a little advanced as shown by the triangle indicator which is fine. Seems to be a new non-stretched chain. When you get a couple hundred thousand miles on your Z then you can go to position #2 to take up chain slack. You have no worries and are good to go.

That's what I've found but I'm sure not everyone agrees. When I'm driving the Z it is usually on the Hwy so I tried to minimize the road noise as much as possible. Inside the cab the first layer on top of the primer was a Lizard skin type coating of micro spheres or glass balloons in a paint base, then the Dynamat, then dense automotive insulation and finally the carpets. It is not modern car quiet but it's pretty good, yes the car is 50-60lbs heavier than it was but I have some extra HP under the hood to compensate. The 240 was designed as a sports car so minimal creature comforts, I went more for a Grand Tourer.
  25. You have to bite the bullet and learn how these carbs function if you are going to tune them, haphazardly turning a screw to a jet will not help if your problem is elsewhere.
  26. Posted and sold within an hour on OfferUp. Just missed it. No idea how much it went for. listed of $1.00 The seller only posted this "Dad passed away just getting feels make me an offer" I expect someone got a great deal. Near Tacoma WA.
