  1. I've attached a writeup on how to make a front differential mount, unfortunately, I didn't make note of what web site it came from. I'm assuming either HybridZ or this site. I had mine cut on a CNC type machine I had access to up until C-19 hit. The SVG file may or may not be correct. It's used as the source file for creating the part on the CNC. Reminded me of this - not sure why! But this guy cracked me up!

The black fusible link carries the current from the alternator to the battery. If you haven't done so already, download the EL chapter of the FSM: http://xenonzcar.com/s130/FSM/1982/EL.php Also check the resistance from the battery negative post to the ground post on the alternator. Bad grounding can cause lots of problems.

I'd be happy with just one year's wages from this guy. Just one. I'd be set for life.

I had a routine doctor's appointment this morning. He says all his colleagues are very worried about the vacines. It's impossible to rush a vaccine through the trials needed. The frontline workers aren't willing to be the Guinea pigs on this political cluster flub.
  6. I once had a reading of over 10 M-ohms between the battery plus and the cable clamb on it!!! and could not SEE anything wrong with it.. so .. and i sayd it a lot of times, new does not mean it is a perfect part.. check your connections.. 8,2 ohms is way to much for a battery (realy FAT) cable..
  7. Being in quarantine every night is Saturday night.
  8. i was a bit worried too, but to be honest it looks and feels like new. Very soft and flexible rubber. I have the feeling it's coated in a thin layer of petroleum grease or so, but might be wrong. It Came (via ebay) from a big japanese parts dealer inside a closed Nissan Bag with all the original Nissan labels, but the labels don't seem to be of a very old type. I guess the company bought some of the last units, compared to others who probably have really old stock parts which where manufactured decades ago.
  9. Thanks! Texas Precision Plating did the work. I was lucky, the bores came back with a thin zinc coating, but the exterior nice and uniform. A light hone seemed to clean them up, same for mating surfaces. I was curious how they would reassemble after plating, but they have sealed up nicely.

I wonder what the billionaires are spending their money on, besides sending large phallus-shaped objects to the moon. Here's someone from your general region of the country to be proud of. Look up... Send a letter to Nick Saban. He has money. Shame him with Dolly Parton's example. https://www.theguardian.com/music/2020/nov/17/dolly-parton-partly-funded-moderna-covid-vaccine-research https://sports.usatoday.com/ncaa/salaries/

The powers that be can't find the money for us? Spend it or give it back. What in world has happened to the states that get federal funds? Alabama is #3. We don't have to be. Once again I'm embarrassed to live in the state. https://www.wtva.com/content/news/Alabama-groups-ask-governor-to-use-up-1B-in-COVID-19-relief-573058761.html

Your crazy! Like all of us.
  13. We were very fortunate with this Z and the little amount of rust it had on the body. The one area that needed to be replaced over the entire floorboard area was a small section in the passenger foot well. Based on the isolated area of rust here, it was most likely from the dealer AC system that was installed in the car. The rusted area was cut out, surrounding metal cleaned, a patch panel replicated, welded back in, and smoothed down for a seamless transition. In the process of welding it back in we replicated the factory spot welds so that it looked as it did when the car was first assembled.
  14. Some pics of the GTR Festival - not really a race event but great opportunity to run the engine in. The video is above but her is some pics of the K from the event. Thanks to Maria Panova Photography http://www.mariapanova.com/
