  3. Cut away rubber then cut behind glass. It comes out easy after cut away:
  4. Sure: Cut out the original rubber seal as much as you can before taking out the old glass. First cut out above the glass so that the edge is exposed then get a knife blade behind the glass to free it. Do all around before lifting. Remove all old seal and sealant. Address any rust on the pinch weld Install new seal on new glass Install stainless steel trim Fit weed wacker monofilament line inside seal where the pinch weld will go Fit glass into position with 2 helpers (1 inside and 2 outside) Inside person slowly pulls line while outer two push/gently hit glass into place. Start from middle of bottom (or top) and work outward to both sides evenly. Optional: Once fitted, use a long nosed tube of silicone to place sealant between glass and seal Optional: Once fitted, use a long nosed tube of silicone to place sealant between body and seal Tips: Watch some glass installs on Youtube where they use a cord/rope Use a spray bottle of soapy water as a lubricant
  5. Wife was out of town this weekend so got a ton of stuff done. Also had @jayhawk and his brother stop by and provide support. Got almost all of the engine plumbing in, radio, heater panel along with horns, engine light and a number of other items. Put in the battery and the electrical is in great shape. All of the running lights are working, radio and antenna work well (Andy and I even listened to a bit of AM talk show radio), interior lights and vent control panel lights are working nice. The LEDs work great on the dash, but not sure if they are truly adjustable. Will check this when it is darker. Overall, pretty happy with the progress. Pushing to get this looking nice for the Branson show. Alternator and last of the body parts will be coming in this week. Also put in oil and water. Engine turned over nicely and we have spark. After I double check all the brake line connections and put in fluid, we will put some fuel in her and see how she does. We are getting pretty close. Latest pics are below.

To use @siteunseen's phase, I bow down in shame. The engine is running fine now, my mistake is so humiliating I can't even admit to it yet. Thanks for your help guys I certainly know the FI system inside out now.
  7. Not many of the old guys left that know how to do separate seal, glass and trim, window guys now just glue them in. The most experienced Z window installers are members right here.
  8. Looks like a pretty solid car, love the black lightning bolt. I found generations of mice in my car, had to have the car dipped to get the smell of the mouse pee out. They won't be in the dash so much as the heater box, they love it in there.
  9. Well, it's always good to plug this in before trying to start the engineThe timing was off as well. My soul feels lighter now.
  10. I took social studies twice but not because I like social studies. I am antisocial like my dog. He don't give a flip.
  11. just got off phone with Hung, they had a batch of 20 that just were not up to the quality standards. Should be getting some more in soon, he is frustrated with it clearly taking so long, but stuff happens, and hopefully will get some good ones on the next batch.
  12. Right back at you, Philip.
  13. @ZupYou could build that house for @S30Driver and myself. There's a big ole field across the way according to google earth?

  15. This is good to watch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ku6Kl74gxFQ Also, blunt dental/sculpting tools work great to help fit the ss trim:
  16. I've heard nothing but bad things this way. My uncle is an auto body tech has been for years hes going to help me get it in or out but I figured I'd ask people who have done it to my car specifically
  17. Call a windshield glass installer.
  18. Robert thanks for the comment and letting others know the quality of Charlie's inner rockers. Glad to know you are satisfied with the set I made for you.
  19. The vibration is likely the drive shaft u-joints. The half shafts don't spin fast enough to set up a vibration. In my first Z, I had a nasty vibration at 80 mph and above. Installing new u-joints in the half-shafts and the drive shaft did nothing to improve the buzz. I removed the driveshaft again and took it to our local driveshaft shop. The tube had a small dimple in it. (possibly from a floor jack?) I didn't notice it until they pointed it out. They re-tubed it and installed new Spicer u-joints. The buzz was gone.
  20. well there is the problem. So now you have to start tracing, go directly to the sensor try to get a reading from the two terminals. But before you even do that locate the bullet connectors on the sub harness that hooks the sensor to the main harness. Get some pics of that. You could have a bad sensor OR a mixed up connection.
  21. It is best to have all the grounds in place for testing electrical circuits.
  22. I wonder if nissan made then take it off the pillar.
