According to FB, John died from injuries sustained on his motorcycle.  Very sad day in the Z community.

That's horrible news. Indeed, it is a sad day.

Very sad if true, but is there a link or some other source?  Many John Coffey's on Facebook.  Nothing on Benton Performance or Beta Motorsport pages.

Lots of FB posts from Z people as well as on John's FB page talking about him.  His last post was about his motorcycle trip to Death Valley.

I'm absolutely sick about this.  Tears and everything.  John was the most kind, level-headed, thoughtful, smart guy I ever knew.  His Z and car posts, his FB posts were always top notch and human.  My condolences to his family and friends.

A bit of gruff sometimes with his posts , but a wealth of knowledge and benefit to the Z community. One person I was hoping to meet at a Z show someday. Awful news guys.
