Oh my goodness! That's truly impressive. Curious if anyone would know why there's a lock cylinder in one of the front fender emblems?

Ha ha I thought that was amazing as well. The emblem holding the fender together. I thought the lock might be some sort of anti theft switch, but who knows.

In the '80's overhere you could buy anti theft equipment that used a keylock that you could put on the car somewhere and this is what you see here i think.

I’ve seen car alarms back in the day that had a key cylinder on the exterior, but never one creatively placed like the one on this 280Z.
