  1. Here are some currently on ebay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Datsun-Heater-AC-Control-Knob-Set-260Z-280Z-OEM-NEW/312432105152?hash=item48be6796c0:g:rusAAOxy5jxSdrR Same seller also has a set of early ones, but they are missing the screws, like you said they are pricey.
  2. The later knobs from 260Z/280Z do fit, they are simply push on and don't have a retaining screw like the early ones. I have a heater control panel from a 12/70 parts car and it has them on the control levers, they seem adequate. The part number is 27148-Y0100 and they were used from 08/73 forward. HTH Mike
  3. Based on these sales I predict a flood of Z's at future BJ auctions.
  4. What model of S30 do you have, it seems that the torque for this fastener is lower for 70 thru 73 240z's and changed to 33-44 ft-lb with the 260z. FYI this torque spec is listed in all of the FSM's, Here are a couple of images from the 1970 FSM. Did the fastener size change starting with 260z"s? The 240z FSM's indicate 23.1 to 31.1 ft-lb.
  5. You're very welcome. Glad I could help.
  6. I know this question is answered, but I just wanted to mention that it would not be necessary to remove the outer center metal finisher to run the wiring harness and install the grommet. With the license plate light removed it should be no problem. Cheers Mike
  7. Hi Pete, Glad I could help, If the envelop is reimbursement for postage, it's really not necessary. Cheers Mike
  8. If it's the rectangular headlights you like, here's one on Craigslist with a similar body kit. https://vancouver.craigslist.org/rds/cto/d/west-kelowna-1971-datsun-240z/6778747607.html
  9. On the imgur pics there are images of some service records and I saw this, it makes me question the mileage:
  10. On the graymotors closed auction he listed a copy/paste link for more pictures, for those who are interested here it is: https://imgur.com/a/LC1Abkd
  11. This car seems to have been sold a month ago on Ebay for US$28,850 and a reported mileage of 51,310 by a different seller: https://www.ebay.com/itm/1970-Datsun-Z-Series-/202530708936?nordt=true&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.m43663.l10137 Seems strange that it has a 90 psi oil pressure a gauge, it would have originally had a 140 psi gauge, unless it was changed. That seems unlikely for a car with 50K miles.

  17. The piece I have is not in very good shape. It is from a Dec. '70 parts car. The texture is not the same as your picture, here's what it looks like, I didn't realize that the early cars were different.
  18. I might have some, will check tonight. I live in Chilliwack and work in Langley.
  19. Staying on the reflection theme, here's me cruising down the I-5 to the 64 Funny Cars event at SIR in '79

  21. At the request of @brigtek23 I have created 3D Cad Models of the Interpart lock parts and uploaded the to our downloads section here:
    • 797 downloads
    • Version 1.0.1
This is a 3D Assembly Model (.stp format) of a pair of LH and RH Interpart Lift Louvre Lock Assemblies. The assembly contains individual part models of the lock components. These plastic locks are no longer available so I hoping that these files will be of use to someone that needs to make replacements. This model was created using Solid Edge ST5. Also included is 3D pdf file of the same assembly for those that don't have a cad program and simply would like to view the model, it requires Adobe Reader X or higher to use. I have done my best to accurately model these with measurements taken from a good condition set of parts. These might be suitable for 3D printing, or could be used for CNC machining. Users of these files should check them for suitability with the manufacturing process they plan to use. The assembly includes the left and right aluminum mounting strips to show the complete assembly. Other CAD 3D formats can be supplied on request.

  22. I did it by hand using microfibre cloths to polish with, and did a couple of applications of each product. It does a good job with haze and micro scratches, deeper scratches become a little less evident. Here's a picture of the result.
  23. +1 on the Meguiar's product. I used # 17 followed by #10 on my tail light and front turn signal lenses, with good results.
  24. Here it is as a pdf. Good work @evanlowe98. Evans 280z front pully gear 36-1 tooth.pdf
