Shortest ad I have ever seen !!!! I was a little bit let down !!!! Hoping to first see the old 240Z and flash to the new 350Z but I guess I do not work for an ad agency either !!!!!!!
  4. Early congradulations on the future article in Sport Z magazine!!! Restoration advice on the 240Z and the not-so-obvious pitfalls!! They even metioned Mikes name and put the club name and the internet address in!!! Could be getting a few new members !!!!! 5. One more view and that's it !!!! Last post for me on this topic and thanks for any help in advance !!!!!!
  6. This is the way mine looks not the same as yours Laffeaux is this over-rider for a Z or not??:: :This is problem is driving me nuts !!!!! :stupid:
  7. So You are saying there are two bolt holes per side? Plus it seems that these sides are curved not L shaped .:stupid:
  8. Maybe this picture will show the two holes I am talking about on each side of the front bumper over-rider. Promise this will be the last time I will bring up this topic !!!!! Thanks for the help in advance !!!!!
  9. Hate to be a pain in the butt !!! I just need some closure. The front bumper over -rider measures approx 30 inches c to c but there are two mounting holes on each side of the over-rider. Has any one seen that type I am sure now that it is for a 73 240Z and maybe early 74 260z

I just do not know how some one can bid so much on a car without physically inspecting it? For that price the car better be perfect !!!! I would like to drive it once and make sure everyting is there and works to perfection. Last year I saw a 1970 240Z original tires only thing the rear carpet showed a little faid and they were asking $15,000 and that was at a classic car dealership on consigment and that car was previously stored in a heated an a/c garage.
  11. 2Many and V8 I have come to the decision: My bumpers are in very good shape and I do like the way the car looks without them so why would I drill holes in perfectly good bumpers to put these things on!!!! To bad I had to buy them before I decided not to use them.. :stupid: :stupid:
  12. Thanks V8-240Z Thanks exact and to the point : So I can use the rear over-rider but not the front:
  13. Thanks for the quick response 2ManyZs Just one more thing the front bumper over-rider attaches to the bumper guards themselves. So both the front and rear bumpers need holes to be drilled in them. How do you feel about the look of the bumper over-rider and do they really protect the car? Thanks for the info in advance !!!
  14. Are bumpers for 1972 and 1973 240Z exactly the same? The reason why I am asking would a bumper over-rider kit from a 73 240Z fit on a 72 240Z? That is a kit for front and rear bumpers.
  15. Gee it is nice to have money !!! Let's see? How many 240 and 260 and 280Z's can we get for $60,000 big ones !!!!! :

  24. In 1974 after I got out of the service I purchased a new 260Z Emerald Green exterior with light tan interior . It was one of the most gorgeous and it was one quickest and smooth running Z's I have ever owned but in 1975 traded for a 76 280Z Copper brown color with tan interior. That car could run, in fact while racing a Camaro Z28 on the interstate in Texas I snapped the speedometer cable and definitely beat the Chevy. I 've owned several other 280Z's and appreciated them and loved driving them as any 240Z I've owned and there has been quite a few but out of all the Z cars I wish I could have the 74 260Z emerald green back and still be driving it now!!!!!!!!!!!! To me that was the Z that got away!!! Alex 240Z
  25. Thanks for the information!!! Tommorrow I will try to attach some photo's !!!! In the future I will ask before I buy!!!! When you see a nice part they are just hard to resist!!!!! But the more I think about it, the more I like my car with out them!!!! Now I just want to be sure what year Z they will fit!!!!!!!!!!! THANKS !!!!! ALEX 240Z
