Warty, I faced the issue, on one or two for the hoses I shortened a larger diameter wire clamp by removing 1/8” of wire from each “J” hook end and reforming the “J” hooks. I then reformed the circumference for the clamp using a socket of the same diameter as the hose. Whom did you purchase the replacement hoses from? Keith

Warty, Did you lay the board on the ground to confirm it is perfectly flat? Also, are there any dents in the spare tire well which my have be created by someone using the well as a jack point? Keith

All, We know that Chester and Herrod manufactured the carpet kits for the early production S30s that were delivered to the United States. I recall reading that the carpet kits were placed in the back of the S30 and the delivering dealer was responsible for install installation? Does anyone have documentation on what parties installed the carpet kits and if Nissan provided instructions on the installation process? Keith

I went through the process of determining which carpet supplier most closelymatches the set installed as OE in 1970. (Remember, originally Nissan shipped the early production vehicles with rubber mats.) Back in 2015, some of the sellers of carpet kits offered to send me swatches of the material used in the sets. If you are determined to get a set that closely matches OE, I recommend you do the same due diligence. Since I did my research 11 years ago, I am certain that carpet material supplied to the kit manufacturers have changed.
