Sorry I asked. My drug of choice is Chinaco Tequila. No crack in Nebraska. All we do here is cook meth in our cars in the shopping center parking lots. :stupid:

Hey Carl, I happened to notice the Midwest Z banner at the top of the home page after a refresh and thought I'd click it. Just makes me shake my head in wonder. :tapemouth Chris

Looks like they're making wholesale changes at midwestz.com or they have killed it completely. Quote: www.midwestz.com Not Available The domain www.midwestz.com which you are trying to access is currently unavailable. This may occur for several reasons -- the name may have changed, or it may have moved to a new location. Please try to access the site later, or contact the site's administrator. ????? Chris

No disrespect intended, but I can only participate in a thread I feel a connection with. I am fascinated by the brochures and obscure literature I've seen posted on this site. And I have copied most of it, enlarged it and put it in my collection of Z material. But I for one dont feel it necessary to comment about something I know nothing about. I wouldnt want other members who might know about an "option" or seen a car with said "option" to think, "Jeez, what's this guy muttering about, he knows nothing." I was fascinated with this particular thread as a matter of fact. But I made no comments because I've never seen a Z car in person since 1978 that has had this particular option. So, I too applaud the intentions of those willing to start a discussion about any subject related to the Zed, but I'm sure I'm not alone in being one of those who just dont join the thread because they feel they have nothing to offer. Sincerely, Chris Abbott

  8. You should be able to reach up under the dash and unscrew the speedo cable from the head. I did on my car. Twice. Chris
  9. Glack??? What the.....black??? Chris

If you have the money you can get a Skyline in the US now from http://www.motorex.net/skyline.html I'm saving my pennies. It has been my dream car since I was a kid. Fell in love with the KPGC110 and have loved them ever since. The Skyline Silhouette is my all time favorite race car. Simply awesome. Chris

  12. Hey Daniel, the 280ZX motor has a different flange on the exhaust manifold where the first exhaust pipe bolts on. You'll have to have an exhaust shop fix that. You could get a down pipe from VB or Motorsport and have the shop tie that in to the 240Z exhaust. Unless you're going to run headers, then you'll need exhaust all the way back. The bigger engine in the 240Z really wakes the car up. The stock motor has more torque at low RPM's but doesnt wind out as good as the 240Z motor. But it can made to run really well with mods when you can afford them! Chris
  13. You said "xes". Chris
  14. The inner pivots on my front control arms squeak just a little but the friggin exhaust is so loud you hardly hear it except when backing out of the garage. :stupid: Chris
  15. Ditto, sounds like the bushings didn't get lubed or not enough. You'll have to remove them to lube them. Chris
  16. What do I do? Jack of all trades, master of none. Lately it seems fatherhood (nine month old) keeps me busy! Wouldnt trade it though. Chris
  17. Hey Scott, I would avoid Midwest Z for the time being. They seem to be out of business at the moment. How about Victoria British? I've bought some hard lines from them. Local clutch and brake shop might be able to help you. My local shop will make anything if you have a sample. FWIW Chris

Hey Chris, if I lived by you, I'd be over in a minute. Sounds like my kind of fun. Twisted yes, but still fun. Much luck to you. Envious, Chris
  19. Here's a shot of my 72 with the twin valves. It looks like the main line from the front goes to the valve with two ports and then over to the "tee" which feeds each rear wheel. I always assumed the two port valve was a "proportioning" but now I dont know. I also thought the one below the master cylinder was the "proportioning" valve. Chris
  20. Hey Michael, that looks interesting. Did you ask the seller about it? Should have the publisher in the front couple of pages. Chris

Now if that car had the C6 Vette rear end and weighed 2600 pounds I'd be all over it. Chris
  22. Air compressor with good size tank. Rubber nippled air gun to seal tight to the line. Or mobile air bubble but you'll have to have a compressor to refill it. Chris
  23. Hey Will, put me down for a set also. Chris
  24. Ed, email me the photo and I'll try and upload it for you. PM to you with address. Chris
