On the Factory Restored 1972 240Z that I have, the tires are Toyo 175R 88S. Vicky

Do they make a shift kit for the automatic Z car? This would add a little pep. Vicky

Thanks 26th-Z. Great info and pics on that site. You know Mr. K signed Scotts' glovebox and Steve Millen signed the inside of it. Of course Scott had to take it off the car, as Mr. K is getting quite feeble now. Mr. K also confirmed that the japanese writng under the hood said "DATSUN". I had a japanese friend make up the characters and I wanted to confirm that it DID say Datsun and not Chevy or Ford. Vicky

Thanks for the nice comments about the car. If I had a digital camera I could post more pics. Zparts.com has some shots from the 2003 MSA show. This car is set up for the track as well as show. Scott did all that could be done to a Z and still keep it drivable (at least for him). When I get the camera I will upload pics of my FR 1972 240Z. That's my baby. That looks like a locking gas door, don't you think? Did Datsun offer that back then? The kid looks like he's from the 50's, but we know the Z wasn't made then.

Man that seems like a big gap between the city 18 mpg and the highway 27 mpg. That's almost a tank of gas. Don't our gas tanks only about 16 gallons?

Sebring is awsome! That's racing and those are some mean cars. CART is the only kind of auto racing in my book. Left hand turns with restrictor plates is for the birds.

Thanks hls30.com. I guess with my last post I've kinda given it away that I'm a female chatting with a bunch of guys about Z cars. On this site Zrush is under my husband Scotts' name but I do all the talking. I guess now I have an excuse for all the dumb things I've said. My husband knows way more about the Z car than me but I love chatting with everyone. Hope no one minds.

Obviously the strut tower braces serve a purpose for keeping your car firm in corners. One for the rear strut towers and one for the fronts. I guess if you're just getting one for show it really doesn't matter how strong it is but if you're looking for strength, don't skimp. Just my .02 cents.

Mateo05 I love the design of the original Z interior, but I didn't want to keep the black. The interior of my husbands car (see gallery) has retained the original seat and door design but I just had it covered in different shades of leather. I must take credit for the design of the interior and my husband gets the credit for the engine, body and graphics. The choices are endless but the wallet isn't.

Knowing the wealth of Z knowledge 26th-Z has about our cars. I bet #19 WAS built in 10/69. :classic:

I presently have that screen saver. I like it until it gets to the 300ZX.

Sorry 2ManyZ's, just feeling a little frisky. Looks like a very nice car, but as you say the automatic is the only drawback. I've never driven an automatic Z nor would I really want to.....I guess.
