  14. I'm reading an article in one of the cruise magazines that we have here in Florida. The name of the article is "10 Engine Wives Tales Debunked". #2 Fuel injection always makes more power - Fuel injection does a great job when throttle position changes often. For types of racing where the throttle is wide open most of the time (i.e. drag racing), a carburetor is a formidable opponet - especially when matched against throttle body injection. I know what fuel injection is and I know where the throttle body is, but what is "Throttle Body Injection". Is that whats on the FI Z's? Vicky
  15. We'll be there for sure, can't wait to meet some fellow Z people! Vicky:classic:
  16. I would think that the impact gun wouldn't be a good idea. You might strip (round) the lug nuts. I've heard that the old fashioned lug nut wrench is best when the lug nuts are "rusted" on. Lots of muscle and you should be able to "crack" the lug nuts. Plus the impact wrench can scratch up the lug nuts, not good if your going to a show. Just my useless .02 cents worth. Vicky
  17. Yes, it's my husband's creation. It's what happened when I gave him a Motorsport catalog and a Visa credit card Now, back to the original topic, I find it quite interesting. Vicky
  18. Congratulations on your purchase and welcome to the site. There are many "Z-Pros" lurking here. You are among the most knowledgable Z people in the world. Ask and you will learn.....I did. Vicky (not a Z-pro, but a Z-fan)
  19. I think he's trying to get the Ferrari look........I guess. Oh yeah, nice over-spray in the wheel wells Vicky
  20. You know I feel bad saying such mean things about the car. After all it is (was) a Z. It's like someone who's had plastic surgery and it back-fired on them. Poor car:cry: Vicky

  22. New Port Richey, better known as "The Tampa Bay Area" since all the cities around here blend and you can't tell where one starts and one ends. Vicky
  23. Well I'd read somewhere that after a few years of producing the cars the general public was able to by the badges but they didn't have the "Scarab" inscription. The original founder, Brian Morrow, would not recognize these has "his" hybrid. I'm guessing that they offered a "do it yourself" kit. I could be wrong as the mind does tend to fade with age, hehehe. Heck yeah, I would love to see pics of your car!!! Thanks Vicky
  24. Please don't tell me you have an original early Scarab for sale.......do you? Or are you just saying you have some pictures to post. I would give up my first born for a TRUE Scarab. (I have no children, except the 4 wheeled type known as Z Cars) Vicky
