280Z 2+2 Rust damage on interior floor pans - how severe/bad is this?
The camera will give you a better idea for many parts of the car including the radiator support and front rails as well. Once you find an area that looks satisfactory Eastwood makes a product to coat those areas with an extension nozzle to reach deep inside.

Still struggling with car at idle after 8 years
Free returns although I’d have to do the math to see how much greater voltage drop you would be getting going to the coil. That would be a @SteveJquestion.

Replacing All Large Opening Seals & Hatch Small Seals
My lower brackets on the same louvre you have are reversed where they are hidden underneath. I guess it was a tech preference for whoever did the original install back in the day.

Do yourself a big favor and get the Nidage Borescope from Amazon for less than $30 and look up inside the frame rails through the drain ports. You might be surprised by what you find. Also take a screw driver and tap along the bottom frame rail and see if you find soft spots. It’s a blue tooth setup that’s pretty cool. At least you can see what you have to work with.

Not sure how much or any difference that would make. Have you checked it with power? The results will be the same whether its on or off the motor. Opening and closing properly. Most Ive found are ether frozen open or closed.

Feel like you are going to go down a rabbit hole here. Check your AAR and go from there as @Zed Head suggested.

IMO no. Ned to find an AAR that works correctly.

Mismatched calipers and rotors
That’s correct. The +8 also has two different pistons where the “W” series had both larger pistons. Parts are still readily available from Toyota for a rebuild.

I did a quick check here in the US. No availability but 3 Canadian dealerships did not say unavailable . You might get lucky or check Amayama in Japan.
