  1. That's the best solution. If you don't know exactly how to install.. just ask google! 😉 or youtube!
  2. We all have done something wrong i think to our cars in time.. i think you installed it the wrong way (?) ... The part does not look very used.. could be that if you sanded the pads a bit you could use it for many more miles as it did not make a very well contact to the rest of the clutch parts! The cupping will go away once the clutch is installed in the right way.. i think/hope.. (Use also some degreasing stuff because a clutch HATES grease!!)
  3. But it has to be HeinZ !! Ketchup!! How Heinz Produce 1.8 Million Bottles of Tomato Ketchup a Day (insider.com)
  4. Americans don't?? We like a nice piece of... Horse! I growed up eating some horse meat.. is good for yah! 🙂 I'm well over 6 foot..
  5. Hahaha, yeah.. Now you know why i speak so good english.. kidding.. i had english for 9 years, so i should be able to express my self haha.. She was a tall and pretty girl that i can say! Later on in the 90's i heard that she went to iran or irak.. away from Kiev.. probably merried a rich sheik. 😉
  6. Hey CO.. why the at mike? (just curious..) Hi guys.. it's been a few month's and the only thing i did is buy a (expensive?) rattlecan of special etsprimer at the painter.. Still need to clean up the engineroom and repaint and put that nice engine back in there.. (but i feel to sick and i'm looking forward to it like a horse likes to play chess.. hahaha I like to completely change sayings into something really weird.. did i do well? 🙂 ) (Can you imagine the horse.. looking to make a move with those hooves?? hahaha!) some pics of the old engine and that same engine after a clean up and all new seals.. sorry for this blurry one.. Now the better pic's.. (I thought i had already put up these pics..) one last one i found some time ago of other times.. this pic (paperrrr!!! ) was made in 1992 when i had my first 280zx t-bar.. in a silver-blue color.. At that time i was one of the volunteer electricians/sound/light engineers at a folklore 10 day festival in our village! We had some time before the festival opened and a nice car to see the area. At that time there was a group of dancers from Ukraine and this english teacher came with them! She was at that time a english teacher at the university of Kiev! (Picture shot with a Canon AE1, still in my possession!) beautiful isn't it... those horses in the meadow? kidding..
  7. I use BPR6ES (-11) over 30 years in L28 engines (and 20+ years in L24!) and never a problem. (The 11 stands for 1,1mm distance between the points, but most people would know i guess.) The R in it stands for radio interference suppressed, so it's only a better plug then the BP6ES.
  8. Also the 83 had a F54 block with P90 head (was a German say euro car.) (I never looked into the cyl. so don't know what type of pistons it had.)
  9. No... always a single part covering the whole door, just under the cardboard/doorcard..
  10. I have a addition.. A 1979 280zx (euro!) has a N42 block with dished pistons and a N42 head !! I know for sure because it's a original Dutch version.
  11. My painter had a sort of 2 foot wide sticky plastic and were this should NOT be sticky because of moving parts i put some of that plastic inside (against) the sticky plastic! workes very well! (then you don't need any butyl and make NO mess!!)
  12. I think we had those F54's to.. but i never opened one up to see if it had flattops in it.. is it that why the later ones had a bit more horsepower? On topic: Sorry no, i don't have one of those flattops.. If you do get one make sure the weights are the same..
  13. Maybe it's different over there in the States but... a 280zx has standard no flat top pistons..
  14. Maybe it's possible to drill the 2 holes for the horn assembly and put some metric thread in? then you could use the orig. horn and button...
  15. Yeah, that's 87,7 C and the meter is probably showing that.. just watch it when stuck in traffic if it go's up.. otherwise i don't think that it is a problem.. these meters are not very accurate. If it's always the same "a little over halfway" that is okay. No worries 😉
  16. No worries mate... (souds australian hey?) 😆 I always say: when there is oil coming for the cam lobe it's okay.. you could test that when the engine is lowered to 500 rpm's and when you still see oil coming out the lobe that would be okay!
  17. Z and ZX have Harada's to as far i know so it's no coincidence they look alike. (only the black plastic is metall in a ZX antenna.) Nice find! Never seen tools in theire original red plastic!! hahaha.. again nice find!
  18. Happy for you.. and myself haha.. no need to go through the pile of parts.. oef!! 😄
  19. Where does d.a.r.e. stand for? oh wait... i look it up! 👍 Drug Abuse Resistance Education From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Jump to navigationJump to search This article's lead section may be too short to adequately summarize the key points. Please consider expanding the lead to provide an accessible overview of all important aspects of the article. (February 2022) DARE logo Drug Abuse Resistance Education (stylized as D.A.R.E.) is an education program that seeks to prevent use of controlled drugs, membership in gangs, and violent behavior. It was founded in Los Angeles in 1983 as a joint initiative of then-LAPD chief Daryl Gates and the Los Angeles Unified School District[1][2] as a demand-side drug control strategy of the American War on Drugs. The program's mascot is Daren the Lion. Its American headquarters is in Inglewood, California. DARE expanded to Great Britain in 1995.
  20. Is the 240/260 lens the same as the 280 lens? thats my question.. if yes i might have one.. but can't promise but i think i've seen a lose one in my "pile" 😉 and they are overhere not so crusty hihi... (due to climate.)
  21. When i click your link... never had this but...! It says: OfferUp doesn't currently serve areas outside of the US So, i can't see that 280zx with V8.... oh well.. i asume i don't miss alot.
  22. Me myself , no, because it was already done.. (on the outside) but i did the inside.. NEVER use slip over stuff.. it's a bad way of "replacing".. it's covering up a lot of ****. Always take the rusted parts out and replace them.. Btw... are you making your own chassis ?? I think you are replacing every piece on that car? 😮
  23. I really don't know.. maybe i should ask / investigate.. There are a few marinas nearby.
  24. If i convert it the fuel in the Netherlands is about 10 dollar a american gallon.. And it has 5 or 10% ethanol.. I had to install a new injector TWICE already... is it that ethanol that breaks the injectors?? It looks like the ethanol is anything but a lubricant and the injectors get stuck and the windings get burned and then they fail... grrr... I can't get any ethanol free fuel overhere.. unless i pay around 20 dollar a gallon..pfff... (4 euro/Ltr..)
