A update.. One month later i'm feeling good, a bit tired offcourse but that's how i felt for over 15 years now, as the doctors don't know what is wrong with me after i had 6 times cancer that went away every time! it came and went after a few month's ... strange.. There were 3 hospitals involved and not the average ones. The Radboud hospital Nijmegen (Netherlands) have a lot of knowledge in this field and can't understand what is wrong. Back to the operation i had last month, everything is healing well! The last year i had a LOT of help from my Ukranians friends i made and one of them did my gardening work and another painted my pool that i had not used for over 12 years! I installed a pool water heatpump, these things are amazing.. you put in 1800 watt and at 25C surrounding temp. it gives 16000! Watt of heating energie to the pool water! With my pool it heats up half a degree Celsius every hour! I also have a sun heating system that is restored yesterday of 500 meters of 5/8" Matt black tubing on the roof!) And guess what? Last saterday i swam for the first time in my own pool again! AND.. 2 Weeks ago i drove my 300zxtt on the German highway and at some point i had no traffic and got it to 159 miles per hour (256km/H. it was)! Because of trafffic i had to back off .. (Top speed so far known is 265kph) Just WOW! My car is now 34 years old and running if it's a year old! So.. i can say i'm doing well so far.. just have to live with small steps at the time. I don't know for the USA but overhere the 280zx became standard around 1980-81 this blower to cool the injectors, On a hot summerday you could indeed get vaper-lock, this blower could prevent this. This was for the non turbo and Turbo engine. As in europe the Turbo came much later and they all had this hairdryer as you guys call it! Personally i once had a vaper-lock on a 1983 280zx non turbo on a very hot day (36C) and it's not fun, i had to let it cool down and then it would start again. The hairdryer was working but i was low on fuel at that moment and the fuel became hot because of the rapid circulation. SO i learned DO NOT DRIVE WITH LOW FUEL WHEN THE WEATHER IS HOT!

And i bet it was a beautyful and good car? It's a pity that 2+2 cars are not as wanted as 2 seaters.. why is this? I want a 2+2 because of my length 6 foot 4" so i need a seat close to the rear seats haha!

GO, find a zed 2 seater or 2+ 2 with less than 10k miles on the clock Right hand drive in this condition.. (It's in Australia and thus in Australian Dollars)

I asked last week the time, and ChatGBT answered something like it's 05:45 AM, i was talking Dutch with him and he can do that good! Before i started on my 280zx restore with a L28/N42 engine and N42 head i measured the compression and after 1-2 years of standing still it was a good 10-10,4 : 1 so... This was on a original euro version 280zx. (For use with the high octane fuel available, leadfree offcourse.)

The Ohm's difference is to big is my first thought. I would strip the resistance wire off the new one and careful unwind the wire from the old one and put it up on the new unit in a way that the unscratched wire is not on the contact side of the strip.. hope you get what i mean. (The old wire will have some flat points and you don't want them near the contact that is gliding over it.) What you also could do, take a ohm meter and take the new wire and measure yourself a part out of it that measures the right amount of ohm and put that on the new unit back!) Lots of succes and... take your time, make strait nice coils!

Hi, For as far i remember, the glove box can be put in from the front, for the 240z. For a 280zx i'm 100% sure it can from the front! I believe you have to take of the door.. it's probably in the serv. manual. I can't believe that there are people working on theire own cars, sometimes.. for over 10 years... and still don't have the service manual. i never work on them without one.

HI GUYS!!!!!!!!! Thanks to you all for the care. Just 24 hours ago the surgion took i guess a few 100 cc bloodclod away and even 12 hours later yesterday evening i could walk again!! It's a fabulous unbelievable feeling to walk again after a lot of brain to muscles disconnection due to unbelievable pressure to the brain.. SO HAPPY to be home and walk again!! i've seen them for under80 bucks. I have a new one somewhere but i have no energy, have to go doctor and hospital.. good luck...

If someone has the part number, you can get original at NISSAN. Don't fall for the cheap chinese copy few weeks and it stops working If you think about it.... we should be lucky to have so much spare parts for these cars so CHEAP!!! Think of people with those stupid headlights of today!! 1000$ is nothing for a new one.. (I sold my 240z and could buy a nice car, i didn't ... bought a car for the winter period of 15 years old.. nice small car no problems and simple headlights!)

What catched my eye.. in the instruction manual it says drill the holes but nowhere is mentioned to do some anti rust into these holes you just drilled in your beautiful chrome bumper.. Overhere in europe it will start to rust within weeks.. Nice chrome btw.. (Chrome is always so difficult to photograph..)

The original part number off that license plate lighting is 26510-E4100 or N3400 or N3700. DOES ANYONE .. @jfa.series1 know the rare fairlady z license plate lighting partnumber? as i want to sell mine on Ebay! Condition, as seen in pictures damn good! 50++ years old and since 1970's in my stockpile! (Bids are welcome but this is serious money..) Brown stuff inside the unit is sort of grease not rust.

Non of the above would be my answer.. take a look in the original 300zx folder from the dealer. You can find many on the net..

The Datsun 280zx had it before the 300zx.. and i guess there where much more cars that had it. About the originality of the cars on the mugs, there are a lot of different car pictures on google but you asked for originality and i just answered. For me the Z32 is the most beautiful Z-car. next to the orig. 240Z.. I restored a 280zx because it was my first z car and i fitted better with 6 feet 6 (now 6 feet 4.. )

Thanks Zed Head for the heads up! But my car has a clean good original tank.. i only need some energy to fix the new rubber fuellines and the engine IN the car.. My health does not let me do this and i got some other chores to do.. no hurry with the 280zx..
