  1. Not sure what washers you're speaking of but here's a good drawing of the parts. Good luck.
  2. I got in a tranny fiasco on Bourbon Street a few years ago. I've never been in a fight but that was the closest so far. They are mean.
  3. Isn't it notch towards the front, # to the left of the notch and oil squirt hole on the passenger's side? Monroe's book page 125.
  4. It's been awhile but 12 oclock from what I remember was the windshield then 3 would be driver's side, 6 radiator and 9 passenger's side. There is that little nick showing the front of the cup which would be the radiator.
  5. What's the rear? Is the air flow the same? Just read Mark's post.
  6. Trying to remember I do believe the heater hose grommets are the same as the rear panel fuel vent line hose?
  7. I bought mine at local Nissan dealership. The heater hoses through the firewall and the rear hatch. Google these numbers, I don't remember which was which.
  8. Same idea as a toilet bowl adjustment.
  9. Squeaking could be the alternator belt or the water pump. Are you sure you have coolant?
  10. Could have been silver originally? Those look good like the old Porsches. Look for the color code on the radiator support. Then look it up here... http://zhome.com/History/ZColorGallary/index.html
  11. That looks like a '73's bumpers. Look at the manufacturer date plate on the drivers side door jam. If 9/72 they consider it a '73. The '73s have a slightly beefier bumper mount. The are a little farther out from the body and have heavier duty mounts. Still, a fantastic car. Slightly different from a '72 though so keep that in mind when ordering parts. Cheers!
  12. If you don't have window hang a Sonic tray on there and a potted plant.
  13. That looks great! A real barn find too. Knowing it was your Dads is even better. My Dad passed on in January and I'm trying to get an old El Camino running he left me. The nice newer one he left to my brother in law! WTF? I guess he knew the best mechanic when he made that decision. Anxious to see yours out and cleaned up. The interior looks good.
  14. Could be the tps or afm are stuck from spider webs or something. The sweeper vane under the black square on the afm should move freely. Throttle position switch should go from right contact to free in the middle then to wide open left side. I've read that after washing the engine bay down the tps will stay wet and cause problems. Just guessing.
  15. If it's been sitting for 15 years don't try and crank it if you haven't already. That's a lot easier said than done. This is good to read over. It's a little heavy handed for me but still great information. Added edit: change the oil, charge the battery and bypass the dirty fuel tank by running the inlet hose to the fuel filter into a clean 2 gallon gas can with fresh gas. Before that though pull off the valve cover and pour oil over the valve train. Make sure oil is flowing through the oil bar that runs parallel with the cam. You can pull the coil wire to do this so it won't try to start while you spin the engine, oil pump.
  16. Yes, welcome to this forum. We look forward to seeing the car as well as helping you with anything we can. Deep well of knowledgeable members here.
  17. that's what i did. Nobody will see it but you. 5/8" low psi fuel hose from O'reillys and two 3/4" pex 90s. This isn't my car but you see what I'm talking about.
  18. Door hinges? Don't lock yourself out of your living room.
  19. can't find a side by side image of the old vs new sender. I did find something I read about a set screw adjustment you might can do before installation. AZ-240z replied to a topic, click that
  20. It's in the tank and I'm not taking it out, sorry. But I remember now a little more of my research in 2012. Nissan used that sending unit in different cars and forklifts. I'll look for some images real quick and post one if I can find something.
  21. I bent my brand new one to match the OE one from 1972. My reading around suggested it was straighter out of the box. Gauge works like my 280's does. It takes forever to get to half a tank from FULL then drops like a rock on that other half, but all my cars seem to do this.
  22. Now that Supra....?! There's one for sale right next to my work and it looks like a modern 240Z, in my opinion, better than anything so far.
  23. Yes it does to me. Those flat tops are good when they're right, which I've only heard 2 members on here that have that "don't quit" attitude when it comes to the later carbs. Like Zed Head precluded to above there is a reason the Nissan Corporation put out the fuel improvement for '73 and '74s.
  24. When it's really wet down here my girlfriend/ex-wife/nextdoor neighbor has to weed eat the whole yard. I won't stand for ruts in my yard!
