  1. Such a sad story. The man got clean and THEN died.
  2. Yeah with a crowbar. We even have the Roberson head screws that color match pressure treated yellow wood. My deck is smooth, no bumps and all the same color.
  3. I had a set of 40s but sold them because I read too much. Here's some of the stuff I read. https://www.google.com/search?client=ms-android-americamovil-us-revc&ei=OGwgYPvzCK2g5wLT463wBw&q=webers+won't+start+whaen+hot+classiczcars.com&oq=webers+won't+start+whaen+hot+classiczcars.com&gs_lcp=ChNtb2JpbGUtZ3dzLXdpei1zZXJwEAMyBAgeEApQz9MBWL_eAWDv7wFoAHAAeACAAdQBiAGxCJIBBTAuNi4xmAEAoAEBwAEB&sclient=mobile-gws-wiz-serp#scso=_WGwgYJrrFIar5wKm87KYCg36:0
  4. Cool video, sad song...
  5. You keep it cold in your garage I see. My Dad did that so he'd get done sooner.
  6. That sounds like the Z. A lot of influnce from all over the World.
  7. Yes, welcome out of the shadows. Looks to be a nice straight ZX. Should clean up nice too. Plenty of help here so don't be shy, with pictures of your progress either. We love pictures.
  8. These are pretty much the standard now around here for exterior screws. I thought it was something new.
  9. I'm sorry for the short answer yesterday, I was using my phone. Yes you'll have to remove the heater control panel but not all the way, just get it it loose so you can wiggle the radio out. The slider knobs will have to come off but the actual cables can stay. Small flat head screw on bottom of the knobs. Then I remember laying in the driver's side floor to get to the other attaching screws, maybe the passenger's side too? The console has to come out and there is a wire to the choke lever you need to unfasten and it seems like there was another wire up close to the front maybe? Anyway it's a slow knuckle scratching ordeal but you can do it pretty easy just take your time. That old stuff just loves to break. I found the one that helped me... Here's another good fix while your at it, waiting on the snow to melt or whatever. The choke lever mount upgrade.
  10. I had a hard time with my '72s reinstall. The PO had installed a cassette player and I wanted the OE back. Here's some threads that helped me. Good luck and it's not too hard there's just some things you won't know using common sense. https://www.google.com/search?client=ms-android-americamovil-us-revc&ei=afgeYPrEBMT25gLP_LjABA&q=240z+radio+removal+siteunseen+classiczcars.com+&oq=240z+radio+removal+siteunseen+classiczcars.com+&gs_lcp=ChNtb2JpbGUtZ3dzLXdpei1zZXJwEAMyBwghEAoQoAEyBwghEAoQoAEyBwghEAoQoAEyBwghEAoQoAEyBwghEAoQoAEyBQghEKsCOgQIABBHOgYIABAWEB46BQghEKABOggIIRAWEB0QHjoECB4QClD0CViHT2CzWmgAcAF4AIABlAOIAc0VkgEJMC45LjMuMS4xmAEAoAEByAEIwAEB&sclient=mobile-gws-wiz-serp
  11. Oh boy! We're having a knock down drag out about Pilgrams Pride coming in an under table slicky slimy kind of way trying to put a rendering plant right next to our airport and wthin 3 schools and a bunch of rich families living out but still rather close proximity to the City. Major stink, literally and metaphorically for our small town. I don't want the birds flying around our airport from the dog food tendering plant that I fly out of quite often. All the folks living down there don't want the smell but the airport authority and city council have already done the underhanded deal in secrecy. They got caught. It's a huge deal in our small town presently. Churches and schools vs the City and money to be made. What a mess but I think it'll never be built. http://www.etowahchamber.org/rendering/
  12. Render: A shocking sight rendering you speechless.
  13. If you dont have to have an egr I'd try and find an N42 intake manilfold and delete all the crap.
  14. This is from Wick Humble's book. Chapter 11, tech bulletins and recalls. Page 194.
  15. I had a rotted out egr tunnel on my '77. There was a recall and you should find a sticker under the hood on the passenger's side if it was done. Mine was not and caused a huge vacuum leak. I got the Z for $1,400. Put a N42 non egr intake on and it runs fine. Here's my rotted out egr where it connected to the tunnel. I tried to sawz-all it off and have it welded up but my welder suggested a replacement. It was much cheaper than him building up that hole.
  16. Flash rust will be fine when you put 4.7 qts in there. That's all the more reason to spend a few more dollars on top shelf oil filters. I've used purolator pure one since 2011. Micron flitration vs money, it wins hands down. OEM Nissan are the best I guess but I try to not to go too far on simple stuff.
  17. I liked that one. Seems like a good buy.
  18. I've never seen one with paint on the inside. Satin black outside. And @26th-Z knows! Many more threads... https://www.google.com/search?client=ms-android-americamovil-us-revc&source=android-home&source=hp&ei=iJYdYPDCGoay5wK4zbho&q=coating+240z+oil+pan+classiczcars.com+&oq=coating+240z+oil+pan+classiczcars.com+&gs_lcp=ChFtb2JpbGUtZ3dzLXdpei1ocBADMgUIIRCgATIFCCEQoAEyBQghEKsCOgUIKRCxAzoFCCkQkwI6BAgpEA06AggpOgcIKRAKEKABOggIKRCxAxCTAjoICAAQ6gIQjwE6BQgpEM0COg4ILhCxAxDHARCjAhCTAjoICAAQsQMQgwE6AggAOgUIABCxAzoLCC4QsQMQxwEQowI6AgguOgUILhCxAzoFCAAQyQM6BQgAEJIDOggILhDHARCjAjoKCC4QxwEQowIQCjoNCC4QsQMQxwEQowIQCjoKCAAQsQMQRhD5AToLCC4QxwEQrwEQkwI6BggAEBYQHjoICCEQFhAdEB46BwghEAoQoAFQxBlY9Y4BYPiZAWgBcAB4AIABxQGIAaQbkgEEMS4yNJgBAKABAbABHg&sclient=mobile-gws-wiz-hp
  19. They look like Keen hiking boots to me. High dollar boot. I wear hiking boots to church. I need the support.
  20. What about a dip in some hot chemicals? From a radiator to an engine block there's vats all over.
  21. My local junkyard rolled a ZX over onto it's side allowing me full access to the motor/transmission. Maybe they would do that for you? For a case of beer, a plane ticket and hotel stay I'd be on my way.
  22. I wouldn't try and sale that car with those wheels. Yuck. Mine will have the hubcaps on the car and the Rewinds in the hatch.
  23. I do have MSA 6 to 1 high heat ceramic coated headers on both Zs I babysit presently. I am so happy with the heat reduction since installing those plus the fantastic fit and finish they could put me in sales. My 3 screw SUs are cool to the touch on the domes after driving in the heat of Dixie, and that's saying a lot as you know how hot it gets down here. I haven't had a slice in a long time but I haven't been to a restaurant other than the one I have to go open up 6 days a week since covid hit. I've asked about Mata's and they say it's as good as my local favorite, family owned Mater's. That's saying a lot too. Your work looks great. Keep posting pictures, love to see pictures of other Zs. Cliff
  24. Like meat suppliers, cows and pigs and other farting things like Us.
