  1. How did you decide on what Orings to order?
  2. Thanks Jim I had considered going that route
  3. I would recommend not doing that on the rotisserie. A jig would be nice too. The progress looks good!
  4. That's ok, Lucas doesn't have any idea how they would do it either 😉
  5. No, I wont be stock. I have Daves headlight harness somewhere in my shop. Waiting for this car. I didn't know you only needed one functional side
  6. The oil pressure senders are notoriously inaccurate. I think thos are british standard; npt should work
  7. I agree, check on the side of the block with a mechanical gauge
  8. I'm not up for reinventing the wheel! Maybe I can bribe someone with diet Mountain Dew to unhack my hacked harness... I hate that! I've had it twice. It took a while to get over the first time. The lingering cough was the worst thing the second time. I probably can't but if I can help some way, let me know. You could act like a "Snow bird" and come hang out in my guest house for awhile.
  9. I sprayed my cowl panel black but my cowl will be painted separate from the body
  10. I was looking at the engine bay harness. My PO evidently hacked it up. Not surprising since one headlight fuse was melted out of the fuse box. I may need to source one... @SteveJ @Terrapin Z
  11. Well that was Obvious! 😉 It's was a long week and the weekend had it's moments too. Haven't heard from you in a while, hope youre ok!
  12. I have these. Are any of these correct? Some of them are pretty hard
  13. Any concerns on quality? I found this guys site http://cycleterminal.com/bullet-terminals.html Seems to have a pretty good selection too Do they sell the spades without the crimpers? I bought a set of crimpers a while back that your recommended then...
  14. What about the insulators on the barrel plugs, defroster, dome lamp?
  15. I tried to work on clutch masters a while back. I got stumped because I couldn't get any of them apart. They were properly stuck. Then I thought about using a grease gun but I had to figure out to connect it. It turns out that Cody had a M10x1.0 grease zerk in his stuff Then I had to trim off the bottom screw that retains the piston so I could close up the bottom hole but not trap the piston. That's one hole closed but you have to block the reservoir hole too. So we decided to tap it to M5x.8 and put a screw with a little teflon tape You need to be really CAREFUL using pressurized grease!! You can get pin injected and that means getting filleted at the ER...
  16. There are lots of crimp splices in the rear body harness Everywhere there is a crimp they wrapped it with a little yellow electrical tape Harness all rewrapped with an extra green for the Euro tail light set up As a side note the lamp harnesses have different plugs US to JDM. The JDM has a six wire plug with 5 wires in it.
  17. I have boiled parts in water with some wintergreen oil. I had so so results. Better but not super pliable. I am open to ideas. It would be nice to find a way to soften up some of these pieces so I didn't have to replace them all.
  18. Today I started on the rear body harness This is the fuse box that came out of the car...unfortunate Fuel pump wires tied back with blue tape I believe this a junction in the harness What do you do with all these insulators? They are all rock hard. Do you just replace all the terminals?? @SteveJ
  19. I work on the data plates some yesterday. I have a box of rivets that match the factory size very nicely. I've had them a long time Factory rivet I also worked on my key chain from high school
  20. There are 2 different lengths. I am assuming the long one if for the windshield and the short ones are for the sides? I have 2 of each
  21. Were you able to find new serrated bushings?
  22. Patcon replied to SteveJ's topic in Open Chit Chat
What kind of phone do you have?? 😉
