  1. I am having trouble getting on the Zcon website. Diseazd where did you register? Do you have a working link? Thanks, Charles
  2. Nice looking 280... Charles
  3. Yeah you would hate to spend that kind of money and not have them last... Charles
  4. Very good. Enjoy the pretty weather. 102 mph on the water is "hauling the mail"! Charles
  5. Zed Head I looked at that link and went well $725 is more but not terrible, then I realized that was for the L4 and that the L6 price was $1040. So it is substantially more but for really great rockers maybe, but from my first glance it is interesting to me that the profile of the new arm is so much different from the original. I am making some assumptions but I would think the original factory rockers would have been fairly heavily engineered since they are pretty crucial and have a lot of stress on them. The thickened section on the original near the pivot side of the pad suggests that is where the maximum bending stress is in the rocker, so it was made deeper to resist that bending or out right failure. So can the redesigned rocker arm survive with out that extra metal? How? Better metal? Harder? Just curious... Charles
  6. Love the garage. The vanity plate is nice too. C
  7. That's a very nice Z as they go. Have fun and try to take good care of it, as it will appreciate with the best of them. Welcome in... Charles
  8. I wondered if anyone had seen this thread...It seems 85 have seen it. Once again I appear to be unique... C
  9. I couldn't figure out where to put this. I didn't know if anyone had a Caswell plating setup they wanted to get rid of? Thanks, Charles

    Which one...? C
  11. Love it! I use to ride a lot but ended up getting hit a couple of times. I stick to convertibles now, but I love beautiful bikes... Charles
  12. Woods dry but not that much... Charles
  13. Buy one rod and have your machinist magnaflux them for cracks, shot peen them and balance them and you will be money and quality ahead... C
  14. I watched a mechanic use a power buffer and Meguiars Mirror glaze to clean a windshield up with deep wiper scratches in it. None of the abrasive methods will work with the defrost strips. Toothpaste, bar clay, car wax all work because they have fine abrasives in them... C
  15. I didn't see the pile of parts for looking at the yellow bike. Like that! Charles

What head are you looking for? The car looks great and the lack of damage in the front end is really nice... Charles
  17. I started a 73 Mach I with my son several years ago. He lost interest so it is sitting right now. They rust every bit as bad as Z's or worse. Around the windshield, cowl, doors, floors, quarters, torque boxes etc. I would love to get rid of it but it needs a lot of metal work. That makes it difficult for most people to tackle. I have the same problem of not enough potential value versus costs to restore... C
  18. Occasionally I see used ones on Ebay for reasonable money. You would want some pictures of the throats so you don't buy the same problem. On a different note I thought the flat spot was caused by a different issue, but I can't recall it right now... Charles
  19. I have driven old Z's and the newer 350z's. They really have very different driving experiences. I like the older feel of the early Z cars but I am sort of "Vintage" too. I would image a 280Z making reasonable numbers is gonna feel slow and unrefined against a 300+ hp tweaked 370z... my 2 cents Charles
  20. Ah Pantera, also one of my favorites. I had a friend a while back who had one. Beautiful car and I fit in that one. Although those prices have gotten high recently too. Charles
  21. Posting a picture of what you need might help... C
  22. I'm with you Captain. In high school I found one for $10,000. My grandmother offered to loan me the money but I declined. I often wonder how that would have worked out. The only other problem is I don't fit in old Ferrari's as I'm 6'5". My head sticks out above the roof... C
  23. I saw that add. I was looking at those cars and was like what is still worth $1500 on those cars? When they sit in the woods like that for ten years or so. Everything rusts so badly, most of the really good parts are trash... C

I have one on a car that is too rusty to mess with, but the valance I believe is fairly new. It appears to still have the parts number sticker on the back side... Charles
