240z cartoon
Okay, I found out a little more about this video. I followed the link shown on the initial splash screen and found this: http://www.genki.co.jp/soft/midnight/index.html This is the story of some people who love a car. (or something similar to that)

240z cartoon
That's a pretty sweet little snipit of some very good work. Do you know where this is from? Is it a full movie? It's an advertisement for something..... I just can't read Japanese. Can anyone help out here? I'm putting a link to this post on the main page because maybe some others can help us find out where we can get this.

More Injector Questions
Thanks Kieth, Ya, I ended up purchasing the injectors today from Napa. I got a hell of a deal because they are holding a 25% off sale for the holiday weekend. I also purchased O rings and the little gaskets for the retaining blocks. And, yes, I broke a couple of the plastic clips on the electrical connector. Arrgh. I am going to take some pictures of this whole experience and post a 'how to' article on the site. I just need to find my @#$@% charger to my digital camera. Luckily, my brother has the same camera and I can use his charger if I need it. [m]

More Injector Questions
Okay guys, thanks a bunch. I'll probably go ahead and buy the Napa injectors today. But, as per 2mZ's advice, I'll make sure they come with O rings! I'd hate to buy these just to find out that they don't come with the kit. I'll be stuck yet again.

More Injector Questions
I'm probably going to make a purchase tomorrow unless someone tells me that these injectors are bad. However, here are the specs of the fuel injectors for my '75. Aechlin (ecklin?) Fuel Injectors by Dana Corporation They are around $75 each at my local Napa shop. Courtesy will sell original injectors to me for around $100 ea. This is something I don't want to skimp. Someone told me that the OEM FI's are Bosch. What do you guys think?

Is it possible to 'break even' on a Z...
Matt, I'm not sure how many times that would work in a lifetime. But, I seriously doubt that it's all that smart to do. It's a good idea, but, once an audit rolls around, I wonder how the IRS deals with a situation like that. I'm not stating that this is a bad idea, I'm simply questioning the process that they use to put a value on something like that. Maybe they only look at Blue Book value as a reasonable amount to donate. It's really the only piece of evidence of worth (besides receipts and there aren't any of those). I'm going to send this message to one of our local CPA's for his advice, Kyle. He should give his $0.02 on this issue. -- Mike

Rally anyone?
Hi Doehring, I'm up for anything...... I haven't been a part of this thread in quite a long time and I come back to find just TONS of information about rally racing. Yes, I am interested in getting started and trying to determine where I can make my first step into this type of racing. All of this content is perfectly OK and I am learning a lot from it, so, please don't stop doing what you are doing. This forum was set up for the free exchange of information, so, please use it!! -- Mike

the ultimate question
I hear this is the 'thing' to do... but, why? If the engine is a stock L24, that should be plenty enough to do what he needs to do. I thought about swapping mine, but, I really don't see the need unless I'm going with a bigger engine that has more torque. Don't think the stock diff can handle an L28. Or, do these other diff's give you better driving performance? I'm just asking.............

Is it possible to 'break even' on a Z...
Good poll! Most of the people I have met tell me that they just do it for the love of the car. There's really no way to actually make money on a rig unless it's totally restored to original specs and sold as a pristine remanufactured car. Then again, isn't this true for all cars in general? Except maybe for exotic cars that are used for investment rather than driving.
