  1. This looks to have been sitting outside for the last 17 years or so "sitting since the early 2000's" I imagine the floors and tire tub have some holes. Do the bumper guards on the rear look like they are too close together? Not even centered to the license plate really, maybe just the angle. It does look like it would have all it's parts intact for the year. No inside pic's though.
  2. In WA they give you new plates every 7 years, To keep the reflectivity up for the Police to read your plate at night. More important that the VIN number matches right? and that it is in the sellers name.
  3. Not mine, Looks like $8000 is the new $800 https://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/cto/d/1970-datsun-240z-early-vin/6559962232.html The seller even suggests it could be worth $100K when restored.
  4. You can always ask for the moon, and then come down to reality.
  5. While it is a nice looking car, It is now posted on eBay at BIN $38,000 (OBO) https://www.ebay.com/itm/Z-Series/183174614455?hash=item2aa60ecdb7:g:dDUAAOSwwz5azpV8&vxp=mtr With a recent car going for $31,000 on BAT, maybe the Z cars are gaining notoriity.
  6. Right?!?.......same here!
  7. Looks like it is at a dealership so you know the price will be high. Price not listed. Nicely done car though, lots more pic's in the ad. https://portland.craigslist.org/wsc/ctd/d/pristine-1972-datsun-240z/6556618462.html

  10. First time I was able to get to a swap meet early on day 1, payed off with some dealer swag. Eldon Vories Motors, in Walla Walla WA. I started a FB page Dave Zeparta, (clever name right). I despise FB and it's tracking, It can still be a useful tool for staying in touch. I posted the pics there to get some traffic. https://www.facebook.com/dave.zeparta.3 Friend requests welcome. Picked up some NOS to sell too, only one Z car part though. a FI relay for a 75-77 280.

  15. Wow, someone has deep pockets. Makes me wonder if it was a member, saw my post and jumped on it. I think it had been up for 3 hours before I saw it. Glad I got mine for the price I did.

  17. Interesting thread @kats I have a pair of wheel stops 0 B and a set of O D The jack in my 70 was a newer one R 1 T I also have a jack from a 3/70 which I can't make out the letters. An interesting observation is the two are different lengths. I was going to swap out my newer jack for the older and it would not fit. Also I was working on my window regulator today and saw it had a date stamp as well 0 4 I IMG_0001.m4v IMG_0001.m4v
  18. Not really sure how this thread went Star Trek, but I will play along....... Remember Vina......
  19. I looked into this too when I picked up a 260. From what I understand is up to VIN 060000 is early, and VIN 060001 and on is late. This one is 035xxx, so I would call it an early 260.
  20. Not mine, just posted today. https://medford.craigslist.org/cto/d/three-datsun-240zs-two-72-one/6546839239.html Ad quote : "Selling three Datsun 240Zs in various states of repair. The mostly restored blue/black Z is a 1972 that appears to be close to running condition. There are two white 240s that appear to be shells of their former self - one is a 72 and the other is a 73. We are selling these cars on behalf of a deceased family member, so sadly we do not have any information on the nature of the restoration of the 72 that appears mostly restored. While a sale of all three to a hard core Z enthusiast would be great, we are entertaining all offers on any of the three cars. We are in possession of the titles." Some nice authentic NW Chia patina on the last one.
