  1. Actually she was a looker, and given the chance I’d hit it again, at least for old times sake. And now, back to our new old member and his Z resurrection.
  2. Yes they do look similar indeed. The giveaway on the T5 is the split bellhousing.
  3. Good post Jim. I’ve watched that guy before, he makes some interesting videos. I’m lucky too. Lots of non-ethanol options where I live from 89-93 octane. When I store gas for hurricane season I always store the non-ethanol fuel. I store about 20 gals (use stabilizer) and then burn it in my truck when the season ends. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Stupid predictive text!
  5. You're right EuroDat. It almost always does.
  6. I think you'd rub into yourself before you rub into to her, eh?
  7. Wow this really looks OEM. I'll give them a call - thanks!
  8. I screwed that one up, it is a BW T5 in the pic above. Same type of shifter plate. Here is the 71C....
  9. That typo was just corrected hihihi... funny! 😂
  10. RE: Headlights, I assume the metal die used to cast the headlight buckets could not easily get that sharply defined edge on the headlight buckets the way an FRP mould could. So probably why they have a more "dull" looking edge. But to be honest I never would have noticed if it were not for you pointing it out! RE: Date stamps I love finding that stuff, problem is if you have those parts re-plated during restoration you lose the little factory stamps.. 😞
  11. Hey Kats, I had a bumper restored by a company in Melbourne who were able to straighten it out really well, better than I could with a hammer/dolly. Photos before: https://www.viczcar.com/forums/topic/12896-wtb-rear-bumper-2-seater-s30z/?do=findComment&comment=176976 Photos after: https://www.viczcar.com/forums/topic/12896-wtb-rear-bumper-2-seater-s30z/?do=findComment&comment=186589 Originally I was going to put this back on my red 72 (HS30 10552), but it was too nice compared to the rest of the car. So I swapped the bumper off HS30 00150 onto the red car and have kept the restored bumper for HS30 00150 when that car is repainted. They did such a great job, I would not bother buying the aftermarket bumpers on offer. Instead I'd have them restore the originals! I think the finish is probably better than back in 1970.
  12. The edge on the headlight cases should be the same as the edge on the hood to look the best.
  13. I am imagining Tamura san agreeing with you. 'Sharp', like freshly-ironed creases in fabric.
  14. I particularly enjoyed this shot from HLS30-03386 on BAT. The almost vertical handbrake/e-brake lever. It takes some effort - maybe even a double-jointed elbow - to get that there, not to mention some sleepy rear brake mechanisms...
