Okay so I am a moron. I had forgotten two giant connectors just behind the firewall.
  2. Maybe they’re just using Hagerty’s? I just pulled one up for a 1977 280z. Here was the result. I wouldn’t use “excellent” to describe that car though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I can't remember whether it was 4 or 4.5" Kenwoods that I put in my 77' pillars but it doesn't need to be too fancy IMO. If you've got a throaty exhaust then you sound system is going to be overwhelmed every time you push the pedal.

At least you're willing to admit that you made a mistake.
  5. Both of those links say "Out of Stock"
  6. Sean I have a bunch of these. I’ll send you a good one. Send me a PM and we can discuss. I’ve had several that stick like yours, it was a pain to take it apart and file in the just the right places to free it up. It was also very unclear as to how this stickiness developed in the first place.
  7. I had some free time today so I decided to take apart the glove box from my 12'70 parts car to make a 3D model and flat patterns for templates. I also have a pristine glove box from the 7'70 I'm restoring. Between the two I should be able to do this quite accurately. I will upload the results to the cad files section in downloads on this site and also post updates here as I make progress. Here is what I have done so far...
  8. There is a brand new Copart yard going in about 1 min. drive from my place, I'll pass it twice a day. This could get expensive.
  9. First time. Had to stare at it for half a day before getting the angle grinder on it. Thanks for the kind comment. Hopefully the frame rails can go as smooth. Been doing odd jobs around the shop to improve welding skills and fabricating.
  10. Ditto, we suffer from the same sickness. The car is outstanding, a real benchmark, Congratulations.
  11. Whoops! you're talking about a 280. My 280 has a straight pipe out of the block. No smaller nipple. Sorry about that, just waking back up.
  12. Mine goes to the stock air cleaner. Actually through that little thing on the side then the air box.
  13. This restoration is truly a benchmark. I have to be honest, when I do work on my 73, your car is in my mind. In no way can I be mistaken for a fabricator or restorer, but I have some skills that allow me to do this all the while making mistakes and then correcting them. I'm now at the point of having fun with my restoration, instead of yelling obesities, turning the lights off and stomping off for a beer. I have told my wife on many occasions, that I dont know what the hell I'm doing, but I still go back out there and try. You have inspired me with this build. I acquired another 240 that will need some restoration, and the more I learn from OJT and people like you, it only brings smiles. Thanks so much for sharing.
  14. Wow. I can hear the value of my 280 going up as I type!!
