Long ago the high school kids in my area used to go to the coast in Washington every year for the Fog Festival. https://www.star-telegram.com/news/coronavirus/article244478462.html "At his own venue, Polone said a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention approved germicide will be fogged for extra safety."
  2. + 2 on all of the above. This is mine which must have been judged to be correct at the 2012 ZCON.
  3. One downside to using thread locker is that you can't retorque or tighten up the fastener once you use it. So if your exhaust gasket compresses a bit and you'd like to snug up the nuts, too bad. And, I don't think that Nissan used any threadlocker on those parts. I don't think that any manufacturers use them today on those parts either. Just an alternate view. Also, if you don't use it on the studs in to the head then those can loosen up anyway. But if you do use threadlocker on the studs then you can rip the aluminum threads out of the head. Then, ultimately, when you do eventually remove the exhaust manifold, you'll be removing the studs from the head but under tension. Which is not good for the head threads. Just seems like one of those keep it simple areas.
  4. Sounds right to me Jerry. That would match what I have observed and done on my resto's. Mike McGinnis would have the ZCCA correct Datsun blue. (middle of page) Ask Mike for confirmation of the smog pump back plate color when you call him with your order. http://www.zzxdatsun.com/catRequests.php
  5. I went with the red for its high heat capabilities but I have to say, when they say it’s meant for breaking with power tools, they really mean it!!! I’m currently using it on my suspension bolts (took the entire rear - inc fuel tank - and front axles off over lock down).
  6. As an aside, does anyone know how current production vehicles trigger a low fuel warning? Perhaps this is an area where a leap forward would be of value.
  7. I agree with the blue (as opposed) to the red lock-tite. Belmetric is my go-to place but then they're located 15 minutes from my house. Great people.
  8. Thanks for the help. Just placed the order and should have six different bulbs to experiment with by middle of next week. For each bulb I will first check to see if it illuminates with the connected sender OUT of the gas tank and the car key in the "ON" position. If any of the bulbs fail to illuminate, that one will be eliminated from further trial. Next, with the sender installed in the tank with fuel, I will run the engine for 15, 20, and 30 minutes and see which bulb (if any) light up. Hopefully at least one of them will not and the problem should be solved. If not then it's pot time. (By that I mean "potentiometer", not weed. LOL)
  9. @dutchzcarguy Not sure if you Facebook but this came through my scroll today.
  10. The end of the video is kind of spooky.
  11. Ouch! I use that newer blue gel on the treads. So far, so good. Positive review from this user.

For those tight places around headers and such or at the very least https://www.belmetric.com/jis-small-wrench-c-3_58_2280/nj8x12ylw-jis-nut-yellow-zinc-p-205.html?zenid=sahrhmsei24sc6bg2gtlshqhn1 I also like these studs they have. Easy to insert and remove. https://www.belmetric.com/m8x125-coarse-thread-c-9_71_1840/s8x45fylw-allen-drive-stud-yellow-zinc-p-15201.html?zenid=sahrhmsei24sc6bg2gtlshqhn1
