Featured Replies

Hi guys. I just wrote a dashboard repair guide for my website, ZCarGuide.com! Take a look and let me know what you think.

Thanks!

Nice informative "How To" with pictures.

I think the article would benefit from some better pictures of the finished product.

Good work, I only noticed a couple of things,

The cracks that usually form on top of the dash are horizontal not vertical,  vertical is up/down.

Wait for the Flex Fiber to cure or set.  It won't be drying if it never got wet.

I was going to try that stuff but as Wheee says it is pretty dear.

I think most of the guide came from the web site:

https://www.polyvance.com/280Z-Dashboard-Repair/

The video on the site does a great job. I couldn't afford Polyvance so I just used a flexible plastic filler from Autozone and then flocked the dash to hide imperfections. Some would say tacky, but I kind of like it.

Maybe you didn't mix it thoroughly enough and it didn't cure completely?

I'm thinking he is saying "poor taste" (tacky). :D

Haha!!

"Lookit here son, I say son, did ya see that hawk after those hens? He scared 'em! That Rhode Island Red turned white. Then blue. Rhode Island. Red, white, and blue. That's a joke, son. A flag waver. You're built too low. The fast ones go over your head. Ya got a hole in your glove. I keep pitchin' 'em and you keep missin' 'em. Ya gotta keep your eye on the ball. Eye. Ball. I almost had a gag, son. Joke, that is."
