Hi all, I'd like some input on what color to paint the wiper motor protection cover. I've pulled my "grill" panel off to expose the wiper motor as I took on cleaning up this part of the car and assuring the passenger side drain is clear of debris. Currently my wiper motor cover is Silver and the prior owner painted the car Green. Question 1) What I don't know is if this was just overspray from a Silver paint job many years ago - or did Datsun paint these wiper motor covers to match the original body color which was Silver? Question 2) Should I just paint the wiper cover Green - the same color that matches the rest of my car now? OR should I paint it Black (Flat/L…

Installed my rear hatch window yesterday. (see pic). Picture also shows color of tail light panels painted with Duplicolor "graphite" wheel paint. I'm using window rubber seal from "Precision". The actual installation into the car using the "cord" method was relatively easy. However, inserting the metal into the rubber was not as easy as I remember... It took over an hour to get the metal trim installed into the rubber on the glass. I plan to install the windshield next weekend when my buddy is available again to help. I installed the metal trim into the rubber on the windshield this morning. Making progress!

Hey Folks, I'm torn. I can't decide whether I want to keep the stripes on or take them off. I know it is a matter of personal preference, but your opinions are welcome and may tip the scales. Thanks.

Hey all, need some help here, I need the right rear lower section of the q-panel the section with the bumper stamping. I have found a place in Quebec, and have called and left a message. Thier listing on the part is for 74-78, would the shape and dimensions of the panel fit or be fitted to a 72. This is all I need before strip and paint. Maybe someone has one on a parts car that's not rusted to bad that they could neatly cut off;) I would cover all shipping. The website of the company is www.wolfsteelbodypanels.com Thanx for any help, Dan

Thinking of replacing floor pan, are there any measurements for welding in seat mounts after new floor pans installed? The Zedd floors seem the way to go, do they offer any replacement measurement?

OK so I feel like an arse :stupid: for asking something that probably everyone on here knows but hey that's why I'm asking! I've tried tot find out what the "vents" that I see on some zcar windows are called so I an look up pricing on them, but apparently I don't know the right terminology for them so nothing ever comes up when I do google searches. Anyone want to enlighten me? -Eli

There was a very interesting TV series that ran last weekend here. Barry White and his crew set the goal of restoring/refreshing or building restro-mods out of 10 more or less junk cars -and completing 10 cars in 10 months. Then taking them to the various high profile auctions around the country. Did anyone else watch that series? What I found very interesting about it - was that they told you how many hours of labor went into each major step, of each car. They also kept a running total of the costs... Keep in mind that this crew has lots of experience, and they were working to a goal, for a TV show.. The cars came from junk yards, or private owners. Most were purchas…

Have new fuzzies that mount to the door panels I got from MSA. Problem is the originals look they are attached with heavy duty metal staples. Any ideas on how to attached the new ones to the panels? I guess epoxy glue might work.

This is getting obnoxious... and it's getting worse. It used to be that every once and a while, whenever I would hit a hard bump or (gasp) a pothole (we have a TON every spring in MN), it would jar the car so hard that it would cause the hood to pop open... but now the triggers are becoming a bit less obvious... On Monday I was driving to the boneyard, got off the freeway, and when I slowed down to get on the exit, it popped open. Today I was accelerating onto the the freeway, and it popped open. ... and of course it still pops open every now and then as I hit a hard pothole. 'Seems like it's happening at least once a day. Also, the hood is really hard to open too, …
