Anybody know if rust repair sections are available for the 240K (C110 Skyline) in Japan? I don't think I'd find any in Aus. I have rust in the rear sills before the wheel, and i think it would be difficult to make up a patch with the correct contour , where the "waveline" (I've heard it called that so seems as gooder term as any) splits in 2. The lower part of the line goes right into the rusted section. I think ie would be easier to buy a section if it were available, rather than to try and make one up.

Hello! Well I've got a new front bumper for my car. The old one is still nice but it has a few scratches on it and paint etc. and the chrome is old. Anyway, my problem is getting the indicators into the new one. They just wont fit! I've attached a whole load of pictures for you to look at. Therre are two places where it looks like the indicator unit wont fit. Firstly the upper bit where it actually bolts on, the ANGLE here is wrong. The flat part here should lie flush with the top of the indicator unit. Secondly, the angle of the lower bevel part is different. I spoke with John from Envirostrip this morning about sandblasting my shell. I wanted to know how much I would save by doing the job myself. He quoted me $2000 gst inc for a sandblast and primer of my shell. It appears I'm not saving much money at all by doing it myself and if I add in the cost of what I earn an hour plus my mates I'm actually losing money. I'm already at $1000 for primer, grit and petrol. All that's left is more petrol, food, beer and time. Average cost is $2000 to $2500 doing the stripping yourself, cost goes up a lot if he has to remove parts.To get this price the car had to be stripped and be just a rolling shell. Hi Guys, Does anyone have a good stash of real KPGC110 photo's? specifically i would love to get hold of some higher res photo's showing the flares, rear spoiler and front grill. On the real KPGC110 flares, does anybody know how they are actually attached? are they simply bolted on (like most of the fibreglass ones), or where they actually moulded into the body? also anybody have any ideas what the underside of the wheel well looks like with the real flares on? is the gap between the flare and metal filled? how much of a metal rim does the factory leave under the flare? since i have stripped my car now, i am seriously thinking about in what order i should fit/paint the fl…

Hi Guys, I have just started on the convertible again. I've added a couple of before and after shots of one of the rusty sills you can see some of the box section chassis she's had attached. I'm about to pay $1200 + GST to get all the rust I've cut out welded up, I'll be doing the major sanding work and priming of the car. A friends workshop will do the colour finishing coats for free but he doesn't want to know about the rust work. Do you think $1200 is reasonable? there is about 3 days of work for a panelbeater to do. I have the V8 and supra 5 speed ready to go in, a 300zx r230 lsd, brakes, suspension and cradle. I know that this is not 240K related but it is about a car you guys got that we didn't. How difficult and costly would it be to find and ship a good set of these bumpers w/all mounting hardware trim to the US? I'm not sure of the years that they came on but these are the ones (blue car) that I am interested in not the later ones with the rubber side caps. Would be a definate improvement over what I have now. (brown car)
