  1. The diesel is easy to spot. It won't have spark plugs. Oops, I missed "short block". My bad... Must...get...more...sleep...
  2. SteveJ replied to rxsleeper's topic in Racing
I'm sorry I missed it. I had to work on Saturday.
  3. It links to the inside of the filler tube. I can't recall exactly where the loop is for it, but I think it's toward the bottom of the opening.
  4. True, I thought about that a few minutes after I posted...
  5. Please send me a PM for when you have those hoses available. It will be on my list.
  6. Yes, there are many posts on here. Some are about Honda wiper motors. Others are about cleaning the linkages on the arm mechanism. I took the latter route and was very pleased with the results.
  7. Thursdays at TJ's Bar & Grill on Holcomb Bridge Road. Go to the Georgia Z Club website (link in signature) for the details.
  8. Cool. Now that you've taken care of that issue, if you live near Atlanta, come on out to the Georgia Z Club meetings.
  9. I can try to remember to take pictures of the linkages on my car, but they aren't pretty.
  10. Is that the first time you mentioned the new engine? I don't recall reading that before. The linkages could be different, especially if you had the flat-top carburetors before the swap. I'm not sure how to adapt the linkages, though. You might try searching at hybridz.org (emphasis on search since they understandably don't like constantly repeating answers). I would be surprised if they didn't have information on swapping out flat-tops for round-tops.
  11. I just realized I had a typo in my previous post. What is the voltage at the battery with the car on? As Mitchell suggested, it looks like the voltage regulator might not be functioning properly.
  12. Where did you get your alternator from? Are you sure it is externally regulated? Did you take voltage measurements at the battery with the car off?
  13. Also, if a new combo switch is in order, Rockauto carries a drop-in replacement. I bought one for my 260Z. It fit and worked perfectly.
  14. Have you called Z Therapy? Bruce Palmer is a member of this board, and I'm sure he'd be happy to entertain your questions.
  15. SteveJ replied to neveragain55's topic in Fuel Injection
Check voltage going back to the fuel pump. Verify fuel lines aren't clogged. Verify fuel filter isn't clogged. I believe the FSM will also have some trouble shooting guides. Get a copy of the fuel injection bible. I think Blue has a link to it on his site and XenonS30, too.
  16. You can try Zbarn for a fusebox. Roger will pick out great parts, and his prices are reasonable. Also, since he's in East Tennessee, the parts usually get to Georgia pretty fast.
  17. Too bad. That's too far for me. I only have 3 meters at my desk, too. This won't help you today, but I suggest you buy a cheap meter from Harbor Freight and keep it in your car along with a simple toolkit. However I am on the paranoid side and take tools (and at least a Haynes manual) with me even if I'm only going to Road Atlanta (about 25 miles from my house). It has minimized problems for me over the years.
  18. Check my links and find a copy of the FSM on XenonS30. Yes, you have the short pigtail. Fuseboxes can melt without blowing fuses, too. Where in Atlanta do you work?
  19. You might be thinking of Vintage Connections.
  20. Vintage connections has replacement connectors that would work for you. I have purchased from this site and was very pleased with the products.
  21. The important questions are 1. What wire melted? Can you identify the colors? 2. Why did it melt? Just replacing the wire can lead to the problem coming back, possibly worse. Electrical fires aren't fun.
  22. I would think they would. I've never needed to find out.
  23. The only picture from the ad was captured in the 10th post. Maybe the seller was viewing this thread and decided to try other avenues.
  24. That's one of the great things about the internet. I got to latch on to what I wanted to see and completely ignore your caveats. I blame ADHD, multitasking, and the effects of raiding the Halloween candy bowl too often. As for the $35K value, maybe the current owner or previous owner was able to track down a famous previous owner and have the famous previous owner sign the dash or something. Hmm, should we ask Pete Brock if he ever owned a blue 73? I can't really come up with a name that would make me want to fork over that much money, though. Of course, considering what I posted earlier in this thread, that is to be expected from me.
