  1. Very cool! Thanks! I can't view the picture either, but I can view the exploded diagram. Great article!
  2. I dug these engine mounts out of a box yesterday. These are the original mounts from 26th. Blue overspray on one black mount and no overspray on the other.
  3. As one might expect, the fuel pump is missing from 27th. I spent the day oiling her yesterday. I figured that if I oil her periodically, she will come apart with a little more ease. I'll tell ya, those rust brothels in Delaware must be brutal. Next time your'e visiting a porn site, imagine what those women are going to look like in 40 years! Eauwww! 26th doesn't have a much better story in terms of fuel pumps. Her Denki fuel pump was spitting oil the last time I drove her. This was well before I came to realize the importance factor of date codes and original original correctness. So, at the time, I just drove over to International Auto Parts and bought this Nikki from Sam and Mahty. It came from Bap-Geon in a Bap-Geon box. The set screw in the center is painted white and notice the difference in the body casting between the two. The Nikki cap is different from other examples also. It is smooth with no raised castings for an A2 stamp. The ink stamp on the base is 1-6-3.
  4. I didn't think a new windshield was available any more,
  5. Gold lettering from a previous owner.
  6. And I might add, Gus, the only ZCCA club in Florida. It is just a shame what happened to the Florida Z-Car community after Daytona. Keep the fun up! Very soon we'll all have the new 370Z to flog around! I saw a black one on the street yesterday. Looks good.
  7. OMG you guys are going bonkers! A G is NOT a Z in any respect; not any more than a Fairlady roadster is a Fairlady Z. Sorry. You lost me on that. A G is a nice car with the added advantage of Z-guts, but it's not a Z. Doesn't the Maxima have Z-guts? Is that a Z-sedan? Of course, I see no reason to exclude G-cars any more than any other Datsun / Nissan car. After all, Z people are cool with that. GT-Rs are cool.
  8. Cool thread! I'll check my cars.

That's too easy. Make your own battery cables! I love the NLA brand. I'm looking at one for sale! What-do-you-mean, its NLA?! There it is!!! Hell, the whole car is NLA!!! Where can I find an original battery? Yuasa brand 50 amp.
  10. Thanks Guus! That was great!
  11. Registration is now open for ZCON09 in San Antonio, Sept. 28 - Oct. 2, 2009. Early bird registration is discounted. See you all in Texas! http://www.zcon09.com/
  12. Underhood is the toughest.
  13. Whoops! Wrong picture
  14. Nice car Zedy; I like the clear signal lenses on silver. But she does have a bit of a chin on her? When we talk about front spoilers, I always like to throw in these pictures. We'v talked about this before - somewhere buried in the library. The BRE type is very common but the questions raised about mounting it and stability are valid. Just ask Carl what happens to those metal valance panels when you whack on the spook! Nissan did make a front chin spoiler however it was not imported. The need for downforce was recognized by Nissan. This "urethane / foam" flexible type spook mounted to valence panels that came with captive nuts. And this is what it looks like....
  15. How much fun! Way cool, Kats
  16. Hey Kats! Does your list have Campbell Motors in Sarasota, Florida?
  17. Check out the schedule of events. Great stuff not to miss. The " great customizers" session is Friday. The panel discussion and Q&A session with Parnelli Jones, Bobby Unser, Johnny Rutherford & Jim Rathmann is Saturday morning. David Hobbs makes his entrance Saturday morning at 9:30. Slot car racing, center court, Ritz Carlton tennis courts all day long Friday and Saturday. A bunch of displays and silent action events. Of course, there are several receptions. Sounds like too much fun.

Kats was particularly proud of his restoration.
  19. Carl didn't lend "official" status to his answer so I will. Based upon the honor of officialdom bestowed to Her Majesty the 26th from the highest of all high atop Mt. Fuji, you are technically the second owner. Brag away!
  20. This was the topic of huge debate some time ago. Mine are black with blue overspray. I have seen all blue. Someone even suggested blue with black overspray.
  21. Tower Paint www.towerpaint.com
  22. Very interesting find, Duffman! They most certainly ARE original...to something other than an S30. Here are a couple of pictures to use and compare. The triangular mounting tabs differences were correctly noticed. I think the paint scheme for your belt buckles is directly opposite from the paint scheme on the S30 belt buckles. The lift portion should be smooth and the center is textured? I love the label.
  23. Two things come to mind for me Kats. Do earlier parts and service manuals from the 60's have the same philosophy pages? I would be surprised if those pages were only part of the S30 Sports literature. I would think of Mr. K philosophy that the page would be in all the service / parts manuals. If this is true, then it would point to specific Mr. K influence. The "Dealer Facility" literature ( I am so jealous ) is called in architectural language as a facility program. This information would describe all the features that should be included in the design and construction of a new sales dealership. One of Mr. K's responsibilites in the US was to set up a network of dealerships. This literature was probably prepared by an architect to describe the thoughts of operation and space a Datsun dealer would need to successfully sell Datsuns. I'm sure this is a premier example of "Mr. K marketing". I love the graphic renderings. They are so "70's"! I would have Mr. K sign it if I were you.
  24. Hey Will, Could you e-mail me that video, please? For some reason unbeknownst-to-my-breasts the download from the link just plays a slide show and there's no motion. I downloaded the link but both RealPlayer and MediaPlayer do the same thing. One of the "slides" is of an empty road and the sound plays as though a car was passing by!?!!??? WTF??? Maybe it isn't buffering properly? It saved as a .asx file. Thanks for any help out there. Can that be put on an Ipod?
