  1. You're absolutely right. I prefer the voltmeter function over the ammeter.
  2. Thanks guys. I'm going to buy the '76 gauge from zKars. I think the font for the '76 gauge is similar to what's used in my '75.
  3. Hahaha! zKars, I sent you a message.
  4. I’d like to buy it if you have one that you’re willing to sell. Thanks. jimr20165 at yahoo dot com
  5. I'm still hoping to buy a good used driver's side window roller. If anyone has one, I hope to hear from you. Email: jimr20165 at yahoo dot com Thanks!
  6. I think refreshing my 1975 Z will end up in the $25k-$30k price range, including the price of the car.
  7. Geoff, I’m real close to you and would like to see the shift knobs. I have a ratty 4-speed knob I’d like to replace and I have a 5-speed trans that I’ll hopefully install this winter. Maybe this weekend if it works for you. Jimr20165@yahoo.com
  8. That’s good to know! I’ll search for reviews before I let any shop do this foe me. I’m a complete novice when it comes to the various Z car shops/vendors.
  9. When I get ready to swap my ‘75 280Z’s existing trans/diff to the close-ratio 5-speed and 3.90 R200 that are sitting in my garage, I think I’ll give this outfit a shout about lightening my stock flywheel. https://www.racetep.com/engine-building/flywheel-lightening.html $269 + shipping. I’m not sure if this is market price, so I’ll also look around for shops that might provide better pricing.
  10. Great! I’ll send you a private message to follow up.
  11. Got it, Mark.
  12. Charles’ (Patcon’s) suggestion is a good one. I’m planning to follow that advice soon and rekey my 280Z’s locks.
  13. Mark, it doesn’t have the wide open ends like the original part (see Patcon’s Picture), however, it does go on with a little help from needle nose pliers. I have an extra spring if you’d like it.
  14. I ended up using this spring for my clutch pedal.
  15. Mine is broken, and I'd like to buy a good used one if available. Email: jimr20165 at yahoo dot com Thanks!
  16. Thanks Namerow. You’ve given me another approach to consider. Good question, zclocks. I looked at most of the Z parts websites prior to starting this topic, including Zcarsource. I didn’t see where they carry that part.
  17. Great point about used rollers, Namerow. I’ve got my work cut out for me!
  18. Thanks guys. I also saw that Z Car Depot didn’t have them in stock, but I’ll give them a call on Monday to see if they expect to get more of them. Otherwise, I’ll look for a used one.
  19. Thanks Charles. I don't have a welder, so I'll look for a replacement. Unless something like JB Weld would hold up. Does that idea have much of working out?
  20. I have a broken window roller on the driver's side door. Is this thing repairable (and how?) or should I look for a used replacement? Thanks!
  21. Motorsport Auto is in Orange and has Koenig, Rota, Enkei wheels shown on their website. http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/CTGY/classic05a02
  22. Yep. I’d love to buy new door cards for my ‘75 280Z.
  23. I’ll be doing this in the next week or two, so Joe’s thread and Jim & Scott’s great advice is just in time! ?
  24. I think I might go with that Pontiac Blue now that I’ve seen it.
  25. I just chipped it out on my Z. Retired, lots of free time on my hands. ?
