  1. I used Interior Innovations for my seats and they turned out great! Here's the thread I posted on the seats and you wouldn't believe who requested more pictures. I also did the shift and e-brake boots from them. Of course this was 6 years ago so if you're like me the memory isn't what it used to be! 😉
  2. When I did all LED in 2017 on the external bulbs I user this 2 pin flasher from Amazon and it works just fine, but it isn't adjustable.
  3. No, it's not. Ashtray should be in front of the shifter and it should have a wooden shift knob.
  4. Just checked on my Mfg 12/70 car - 4SP. The clip looks the same as the one pictured but there are no markings at all on either side of the plastic wire clip.
  5. From Hallmark for 2023.
  6. From this post by Woodworker B I found the jbugs hose to be very nice. 240Z – Fuel Tank | WoodWorkerB EDIT: these were fuel tank hoses, not coolant, sorry.
  7. My experience with new Z Therapy carbs is I put them on the car and they ran just fine out of the box. Didn't touch them. I live at almost 5,000 ft and think they might be a little rich because I bet Z therapy probably sets them up for lower altitudes.
  8. Interesting that the prior owner manually wired for an electric fuel pump. Must not have known that the stock harness from day one provisioned for an electric pump. Even Datsun dealer service used it when they came out with some of the mitigation for the vapor locking issue most prevalent in the 73 240z (ask me how I know).
  9. I don't think you can go wrong with this stuff. Driven Racing Oil 03807 HR5 Conventional 10W40 Motor Oil, 12 Quarts (speedwaymotors.com)
  10. My car had a nap for some years and I had heard of a local Z club. A few years ago I was at a show and a blue 280Z parked next to me. He told me that he was in the group for a while but there was some bad blood that happened between some of the folks and the whole thing went away, probably 10 to 15 years ago.
  11. None that I can find, but good suggestion.
  12. A couple of weeks ago I was at the Grand America hotel for a dinner in downtown Salt Lake City. As I was leaving, I spied with my little eye a white early vintage 240Z that appeared to be original down to the "D" hubcaps. The owner and partner were just getting in so I yelled and asked what year and he yelled back to me 1970. I was in a queue so not able to stop and chat or I would have. The car did have Utah vintage plates so it should probably be within about 50 miles of downtown SLC. These cars are few and far between in this neck of the woods. Looking at the community map I wasn't able to zero in on anybody. Would be nice to meet this person and their car.
  13. News flash... Just walked past our 2006 Infiniti M35x (Nissan Fuga in Japan) and thought about this glass etching question. The passenger windows on the M35x are etched on the inside so appear reversed when viewed from outside the car and the driver side is etched on the outside and not reversed from outside the car... But wait, there's more. Last year I bought a 2022 Nissan Frontier (from the Kentucky facility) and the side window etching is on the outside of the glass and non-reversed Nissan from the outside all around.
  14. Just checked my 12/70 build car and it has the same as the OP quarter windows with the passenger side Nissan etched on the inside of the glass so appears reversed from outside the car.
  15. After you get things put back together you should get the "Smoke replacement kit". These were initially created for Lucas wiring in British cars, but I think they'll work in ours too. 🤣🤣
  16. Just watched the announcement of the new ROLLING STONES studio album titled “Hackney Diamonds” with Jimmy Fallen. They have a new music video of the track titled “Angry”; https://youtu.be/_mEC54eTuGw You can watch Jimmy’s announcement interview with Mick, Keith and Ronnie here. There’s a countdown at the start that you have to wait through. https://hackneydiamonds.com Here’s a CBS news article that came out yesterday about the new album. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/the-rolling-stones-hackney-diamonds-first-new-album-nearly-20-years/?ftag=CNM-00-10aab6a&linkId=233345964&fbclid=IwAR34p4_K-Q-JPxOvrMEnjngg2KlyvTrzSnQyH2_V5POn0cVlSi_egGRvVO8 We have to wait until late October to get the album.
  17. I think this WoodWorkerB page is what I used for hose sizes and lengths along with where he sourced the hoses from and it is a VW parts site. 240Z – Fuel Tank | WoodWorkerB
  18. I used to have this little money pit and it had Turbo LAG! 1977 930 When I bought it the guy said "have it pointed in the direction you want to go before you put your foot in it, if you don't pay attention and skip this rule the back of the car will pass the front". It was a blast for a few years, but to rich for my blood.
  19. I thought I'd read on these forums somewhere about a recurring race between SU's and triples and this last go round the SU's won? ? @DiseazdWas it you?
  20. I'd be partial to the stroker. Less in the wiring without the turbo and FI. The Z Therapy carbs are close to bullet proof. Also with the stroker there is no "turbo lag". Just my 2¢.
  21. If it's got hte Interpart louvers, I want them!
  22. Sounds like the first thing to do is get the hood open. 😁 I've read on these forums that it can be done from underneath the car reaching up to the hood latch with a long tool like a long screw driver to push the latch towards the left side of the car.
  23. Same error in the land of Zion too. And again, it sure would be nice to have the member map back.
  24. Just looking at the 2 pictures Kats posted it looks to me like... With the way this G-nose is configured and with the raised hood center at the rear of the hood it looks like a venturi entrance in the nose to accelerate and condense the air entering the front of the car and the hood configuration should create a low-pressure area at the rear of the hood to provide suction for air exiting the engine bay.
  25. All I can say is my stock 240Z started to feel like the front end was flooting at around 90MPH. I put headlight cover on and an air dam and the car feels solid on the road at over 100MPH. As far as drag goes I believe that these changes to the front of the car added about 3MPG. No numbers here, just my own impressions. If you want to talk drag, take a look at the front of my wifes truck in my sig. But the slightly modified small block made it not to noticeable.
