What markets required quarter panel markers in 1969
I'm trying to figure out the market for the 1969 blue export car below. Orange turn lights seems to be non-North America but red quarter markers seems to be non-Europe? LHD rules out most British colonies + Japan. Radio delete also indicates either a entry level low option or some sort of sport model. Plate says Fairlady Z to make it more complex. Any ideas of this car's configuration and raison d'être?

@flynjim Welcome Jim... be sure to find local members or a local club. Many will be happy to help you refresh your Z! Original owners are rare and appreciated! Please tell more stores... especially about the waiting lists and colour/option selections you faced in 1970.- 1973 Rebuild
You can adjust vacuum advance too. There is a set screw on the front of many "pots". These screws control the rotation of the breaker plate.- Rubber Rejuvenation & Protecting
I forgot to mention that a great product available from Honda Dealers is called Shin Etsu Grease. Just put some on the rubber seals or any soft rubber part, rub in with a cloth and it looks and feels like new. It also prevents doors from sticking closed in the cold. Honda Part Number is 08798-9013. They usually have behind the parts counter at the Honda Dealer. \\- FS5W71B Rebuild Thread - Tips tricks and discoveries!
I think it is that distance that makes it work/not work. Moving the hole higher in the shorter spans may help fix the problem.- New CEO at Nissan... nice car in back too.

1970 All Japan Suzuka 1000km (May 23/24, 1970) Car #19 Fairlady Z432R 167 laps Hiromi NISHINO / KOJI FUJITA (1st)- Timing chain set up incorrectly????
It looks like your spindle needs to be moved ~ a tooth CCW (~8 degrees) and that will help to give you more initial timing advance now that the damper is fixed.- Timing chain set up incorrectly????
Assume the mechanical timing of the valves and pistons is correct for now. You seem to need more spark (electrical) advance. Did you use a timing light to measure the timing at idle and at 3000rpm? If so, what is the initial timing at idle and at 3000 rpm?- Timing chain set up incorrectly????
Step 1 Put your engine at top dead centre (TDC) Note that there is a TDC for the intake stroke and a TDC for the exhaust stroke. You need to get TDC at the intake stroke. Step 2 Remove the distributor (1 10mm wrench to remove adjuster locking bolt). Step 3 Look down where the hole where the distributor was and you should see this: note the angle of the key and the small lobe Report what you find. - Option genuine rear spoiler
